Today, I lay to rest my best friend. Murf and I, we come a long ways. Always happy to see me, saved me, just as I saved him. Laid on my chest napping, this last day. Raising his head to lick my nose, saying it was time to go. Could not ask for, or imagine, a more loyal companion. The best friend I've ever had. I will miss you til we meet again buddy.

Any and all are welcome to tilt their glass...... Tonight I weep

Sorry for your loss bud! I feel your pain! Seems like I've been surrounded by death for a couple months now!
 
It is a very sad day when you lose your companion.... I have been there, and let me be the first to give my condolences....cheers to you and Murf

Sorry for your loss. My last one was with me for 14 great years and is still missed after ten years gone. They are truly mans best friend!

Sorry for your loss. I lost a pet of my own this past week, so I sure know what you're going through or at least have a very good idea.
 
He's been the best of me. Always will. 15 is a long time for a Brittany. Unwavering friendship........ He was a rescue. Got him when he was 4. He was bought as a fresh pup for an 80+ yr old couple. They had him indoors for 2 yrs, then got tired of tripping over him and took him outside. There he stayed, never off the chain for the next two years. Then we found each other. He's been at my side since 2001-2002. Poor thing didn't even know how to play. Never seen anyone so happy to see me........

today marks the 1 year anniversary of the loss of my little buddy Dillon
 
So sorry for your loss, Joe.

That's the only thing that makes being a dog owner so difficult for me. "The day" is always in the back of my mind. I've had too many best friends.

I will tip my glass when I get home tonight.
