Gossman Knives campout and shop tour

Great pictures, great time! Nice shop Scott.. I wish we had shops on land like that here in CA!

Thanks Ray. The property is on about 25 acres. It used to be a vegetable packing plant. The owner had 5000 acres in the county for growing vegetables for the plant. His biggest customer was Campbell foods. I use one of the buildings across from the main building where the manufacturing took place. This property is great for what I do as it is zoned commercial industrial.

Hey Guys who were there:

Why is this nice HI import kukri in my car?

about a 10" blade with a 6" handle, initials all over it (not ingraving like the VERY small one I traded for), wooden handle without blister ridge in the middle, small protrusion like a dorsal fin on the top

you traded for it to go to SA remember
Thanks to all who showed up for thier fellow ship and Mead.
Scott well done and looking forward to another get together.
That's Me in the Goggle Eyed Pic,hmm may be it was after Talking Wolf to an other predator Gerrrrr snarl rahhh!
Just arrived Back home from another stop over dealing with human Preds in Atlantic City, what a contrast!

no not the swiss army knife trade. That one had the loose pommell that needed to be peened. There was another HI kukri one.

Did anyone get any video of Scott sharpening his way as he showed in the pictures. I would be very interested in seeing video.

:P I was supposed to ................... sigh.

Joe - You're talking about Marcelo's HI Boomerang Khukuri. I don't know the details of how you ended up with it.

Ah yes, scott has that. Now the question is....do I email Marcelo or just hold onto it :P

I think I was the only one sober there that night, I remember Marcelo and Joe singing, but thats about it. I know that Marcelo had a khuk FOR trade, I don't know if he traded it.

akabu, thanks for your insights. I have a couple days worth of medicine in my EDC bag. Common sense.

So how are those little double bits?

I know another guy who has one and he really thinks a lot of it.

I haven't had the chance to take it to any wood as I've been at work since returning but I was able to put a really nice edge on it, enough to slice paper. The edge is substantial enough however to take use. I like the length of the handle and the overall weight. There is a pin that goes through the eye and top on the handle. There is also a peculiar integral wedge in the eye. I don't know if these points will become issues. From what Joe told me the next run will eliminate these features
