Hey there Beckerheads!
Went hunting with my buddy and his cousin at his farm. I had gone out twice this season with no luck, so I was hopeful this would be my day. We started at 5:30am up in some tree stands. It was cold and raining on us for the first couple hours. We figured the deer were most likely bedding down so we went walking.
We stalked for most of the morning. We were walking about 100 yards apart, my buddy up top, me mid, and his cousin walking the bottom at the creek. It was pretty thick with pines and brush, which deer love so we figured we'd come across some. Here's a pic of the area I was walking through:

I heard what sounded like buffalo running at me hahaha. I guess my buddy had come across some deer and they were evading him (no shots fired). I looked to my left and could not get a visual on my friend and looked down the ravine and could not get a visual on his cousin so I decided this was going to be a no shoot for me. I tucked my rifle close and hid behind a tree to let them barrel past me. It was so intense to have 6 full grown deer run past you full bore at about 7 yards. It was an experience I'll never forget and was the biggest rush I had hunting that day.
His cousin was actually also behind a tree at the bottom of the ravine by the creek and popped and took 2 safe shots hitting a doe right through the heart and dropping her on the spot. He was struggling to field dress the deer with his knives because they were dull and weak. I kept offering my BK2 but I think his ego was not allowing him to listen. Finally said "dammit, let me see that beast". After slicing through everything with ease, including the pelvis, he was impressed.
Fog had come in very strong and we were reaching about 1pm when we had finally drug his deer out of the woods got it back to his house to skin and butcher. We decided to eat and wait out the fog. The fog never subsided so we just took care of his deer and decided to call it a day. At around 3:45 we head out to my buddies house to pack up for the day. We were driving his polaris down the logging trails with me sitting on the back and my buddy says "Joe! Deer. This is your shot bud. Get her! She's huge!" Well for the life of me I could not see her in the thicket. He finally used his finger to point her out. I jumped off the back of the polaris, popped my lens caps, shouldered the rifle, put her in the cross hairs, and flicked off the safety. Her head to top of shoulders were a clear shot. I aimed dead center neck for a quick clean kill (preserving all meat as well) and let the shot break. She dropped dead like a sack of rocks. Then we see another doe right behind her that became visible after she fell and my buddy took her. We had all gotten deer and it was a great hunt.
Here's some pics of my hugantic doe and the Becker doing work (it field dressed all 3 deer this day):

Needless to say, both my buddy and his cousin said they are ordering some BK2s after seeing how well it held and edge on tough tasks.
