Got a HEST

One thing I am picking up is confusion amongst the RAT product line. The RAT DPx H•E•S•T is very different for four reasons
- It was designed as an EDC skeletonized, necker or conceal carry
- It is THICK aka won't break under the most extreme use
- It is ergonomically a very different knife with the scales or skeletonized
- It has a massive grip with extraordinary purchase for a 3" blade

The Izula is exactly what is sold to be. A small, light necker or EDC. THe RAT RC 3 has a thinner blade (which a lot of people like), is more of a traditional knife and is lighter. The RAT DPx H•E•S•T is a very unique knife with a very unique feel. After you use it for a week you will wonder why other knifes don't have that "feel".

I won't hype the extra add-ons but they are a product of giving you the max for your money without sacrificing quality or jacking up price.

Its clear that the RAT DPx H•E•S•T owners are saying the same thing. It feels performs well and delivers an intangible personality. like a Harley Police bike, broken cowboys boots, a pair of faded Levis or your favorite pickup truck. Its an overengineered, solidly built made in America must-have ...If you dont' get it...then you don't need it : )

Hey amigo, I thought you would be on a bird headed to Afghanistan!

Did you order it from Pelton or pre-order it through a dealer? HEST knives have been shipping to dealers for some time now.

I ordered mine yesterday... I think. I was drinking and accidentally used the wrong card... woops... hopefully paypal used the backup.

Just want to say this thread has been very informative. I've been trying to decide between and Izula and a HEST for my first RAT purchase. I think I am going to go with an Izula for now - I want to get something that I'll be able to use on a daily basis. RC3 is on the list to get as well. After getting those 2, I'll evaluate whether a HEST has a place in the line-up, too. It looks like a great knife, just not sure I'd give it the use it deserves.

You'll have to email or talk to DPX about that order since RAT Cutlery has nothing to do with those. Sorry it's taking so long

Just another reminder that the signed (with autographed personalized book) limited numbered and signed RAT DPx H•E•S•T goes off sale from www.dpxgear.com as of midnight tonight and my knife is available only through RAT dealers.

enjoy

I don't think a customer wanting to know the status of his order is whining in my book. But that's just me. End user customers come first before all else in my game!

That right there is why I am sticking with RAT Cutlery!!!.........There is more to any product then the product itself, and R.A.T. has convinced me they understand that!

Appreciate that. And even though that is absolute fact, please understand that Pelton was just poking fun at me for "whining". He and I have known each other for a long time and usually go at each other like an old married couple.

:D:thumbup: I can appreciate that. LOL..........R.A.T. runs a respectable business, and I have no doubt business relations related to them are respectable!:).......I also know I need to buy a H.E.S.T to go along with my Izula:thumbup:
