Got a little excited with my para 2

Normally I would say that the tip is the weakest part on a PM2.

not any more.

My main problem with Waved knives is that the first time I tried deploying one from my front pocket, I ended up stabbing myself in the hand. The second time I carried one, I put a little slice in my thigh. I gave up on them out of a sense of self-preservation.

Plus, my teenaged son commented "Way to go, Mall Ninja".

Your money, your knife. I see no problem with that. Job well done buddy. I bet the wave action is pretty sick on that one.

Wow! Nice job Spug... Nice crisp lines, good symmetry. It reminds me of a dagger or a throwing knife. It also looks like you didn't just grind the hump but actually took some time to shape the metal. Good for you man, some folks have zero imagination and or ability to do any mods whatsoever...looks like you may be on the road to pimpville Lol.

P.S. the imagination and ability comment was not directed at anyone who disliked the mod but rather at those who can't or won't mod anything even if they would like to.

I think you have greatly reduced the strength of the blade. But as long as you're happy.... :D

Only my eyes were offended at first ;) . I think it would look better if you ground off the left over hump and just made it a persian style blade. Really thin or spear shape. I think it would pierce like crazy and look better too since cutting is what you are after. You do not need all that belly and then it will cut like a Vic.
Welcome to the forums.

I agree with you folks. This guy is alright. :)
I like how he stood his ground and continued to like it, even though many did not.
If I liked the whole concept of waves, I would like it too. I just don't like waves in general.

I really don't like the mod, but (contrary to popular opinion the Para 2 is not my go to knife either).

I do like that spug has taken the time to work on a knife and tinker around so that it suits his need. Hell, I just spent the day tidying up an old wooden Wenger SAK that I bought for my Dad so that he could have it back in good condition.

Tidy or tinker, as far as I'm concerned it is all good...

Cheers!

Interesting shape. Looks way cooler than a normal PM now. The wave could have more easily done, but oh well, you made the knife how you wanted it to be and that is all that matters.

Dat lunchbox though... Why Fluttershy?

Come to think of it, I actually waved a Byrd folder I used to have exactly like this. Yours is cleaner because I just used the cutoff wheel then a grinder bit, but same concept. It worked well.

Just looks black in the pics. I ground it for a while then hit it with some worn out 220 grit sand paper to blend it a bit.

I thought about just cutting a notch but that seemed a little half-assed at the moment so I went for it.

Fluttershy is a bad bitch! She can talk to animals.
