Gotta love a Glock (Sight Upgrade)

Here is about 5 to 7 yards with the Baer and I was also sliding it back to 10 and 15 at some point in the range sessions.

I was very frustrated when I first started shooting Glocks as I had groups very unlike the above.

Now with practice this is a 7 yard group....

And a 10 yard group.

I have changed Glock sights with a dowel rod and hammer, but a sight tool is much more elegant. And it produces fewer dents on the side of your rear sight. :)

Glock 17 beater with G34 barrel.

hey noodle, what is the purpose of this out of curiosity?

i understand that a longer barrel length may provide more muzzle velocity-- is this why?

because... the barrel length shouldn't really affect accuracy, and it won't help your aim (unless the distance between sights is what increases).

is it quieter? or more manageable to fire?

i ask because i have a glock 19 and glock 26. one day i fit my glock 19 barrel into the 26 and was going to take it to the range like that, but then i thought "why?"

I did it just to be goofy. It will add a few fps of velocity, but I just did it because it was a drop in "mod" thats sorta fun. To me, anyway. It also works with a G27 and G19 barrel (below), and the similar .40 cal flavored Glocks too.

I'll have the same setup on my M&P9 when I finally have time to get to the gunstore before it closes. I appreciate the pics, they reaffirm that I made the right sight choice.

I met a buddy at the range yesterday with his 26 and it felt and shot just like my 19.....that does it, the 26 will be my carry piece.

I'm new to Glocks, so I'm not sure how much difference sight upgrades would do for me. Guess I'll have to give them a try....meanwhile this is the only mod I've dared to do thus far. I'm liking this trigger guard shape much better.

That is definitely an interesting looking trigger guard. I find that the guard on my G20 is so big that I can't do more than lay my finger alongside it, so rounding the guard probably wouldn't do me much good.

My favorite modification to my Glock (and the only one, so far) is the extended slide release. I broke the stock one by prying on it slightly, and this $12 investment has made an amazing difference! I found releasing the slide with the stock part to be difficult and very annoying, and not something I'd feel confident in a stressful situation. Now it's a breeze.
