Hey fellas, just lookin for some opinions on Graham bros knives. I'm pretty excited I just ordered a Wharncliffe in 154CM with black micarta handles and white liner. It won't be here for approx 6-8 months, but they sure do look sweet. Great guys to deal with too, I had an email not even an hour after I put my order in, that's customer service!

What are your opinions? Anyone have one they've used the crud out of? :D

hello,

I just discovered Graham Brothers Knives a couple of weeks ago. I got the contact through Jason BREEDEN who send me some images of his work with several brands (he designed he Captain folder for SPYDERCO).

Jason had a collaboration on the way with the Graham Brother. It's a push dagger called the TIP (tiny Intregral Pal). by the way great "Personal Defense Tool".

This allowed to discover the work of the Graham Brothers. they make simple and efficient no-nonsense knives.:)

I scheduled to buy some soon.

Take care,

Bob

Proud owner of a custom Razel, with ironwood handles. I have
used this knife VERY hard, and I am quite happy with its performance.

The interactions with the Grahams were as pleasant as one could hope.

They make an outstanding knife. Their razels are so sweet that I had second thoughts about departing with mine.

I find the ringed Razel to be a little more user friendly than a Razel without the ring. I wish the handles were a little larger on the smaller blade models. Still, I find the Graham Bros knives very well made and useful.

Same here shaldaq, I got a custom razel with ironwood handles. Its very well made and real tough, has so many uses that it goes with me most everywhere.

Sigh.....
My name is Tom and I'm a Graham Knives ....aholic

They make much more than the Razel and I have a few of their work.
I just got my Ringed Razel SS3 back after getting a aligator sheath for it.
I had a shark skin sheath but...I just wanted the look of the aligator so while I was typin this I took this shot of the new sheath

They are made to be used. Even the Custom ones.

Here's my Razel cuttin away

A Jackyl that my Son took on a Combat training mission. Yep, that's a blood stain before I took it off. Linen micarta and (I think) S30 blade.

Here's an SPT that is 154cm and micarta handles. This had me convinced that it was wood and S30 when I was cuttin with it. Josh Graham set me straight, tho.

My next Graham Knives acquisition will be a CUT..it's a rockin camp/utility knife. I hope to get a sheath that houses both this and the Ringed Razel.
THat would be a lightweight and functional outdoors combo.

You are all correct about their customer service. Jon is among the MOST pleasant folk you can find.........

Josh is great also.....hahahahahahaha
Josh is the guy you'll prolly chat with ...
I'm told that's cause Jon does ALL the work!
Grinds are superb
Fit and finish is the tops..
They are knives to be used and admired.

Bob, coud you please post some links to Mr. Breeden works? I found very little ;( Wondering who's the guy since Captain been announced…

Great guys to deal with!

I've got a mid-tech Razel that I enjoy a great deal. VERY solid little pocket FB. I've got my eyes on getting a stubby SS3 made, though.... :)

Thanks so much guys, especially Tom!! I can't wait to get my Wharncliffe I'll post some pics up, it'll be awhile though...probably more than half a year, but well worth the wait in my opinion! maybe itll go quicker....I hope.

Tom those blue handles on the Razel are beautiful what material is that??

Their knife was just on the cover of the February Blade and they have a story about them in the April Blade starting on page 56. There is nothing dull about these guys or their knives - take it from me, definately great guys to do business with

Los Bros. Graham are tops in customer service and quality product! You WILL be pleased.

Plus, they are just generally REALLY good people!

I just got my first Graham knife 7 days ago. The customer support is great and the knife is even better. I got a Custom S30V Jackyl. I have opened several boxes (butchered several boxes) and other fairly light duty stuff and it hasn't slowed down a bit.:D

What is the benefit of the "razel" vis-a-vis a more conventional blade shape? Are they chisel-ground or dual ground?

Dual Ground-You can use the end of the knife for all things chisel like, without hurting the knife or as the website says(from a satisfied customer, not me, but I am VERY satisfied:

"Once you try a Razel you realize that it is an all-around work-utility knife. It is the most useful tool you'll ever have."

I have two customs and two more being made for me. Great knives and great guys to work with.

Razel is a handy design and I EDC a stubby- love it.

My son and I both have a mid-tech Razel w/black micarta scales and they are GREAT knives.

I'm a chef, and it's my EDC on the job. Comes in very handy.

Bought my son his after he threatened to steal mine! He's a finish carpenter, and it's his EDC as well. Gets used for a variety of chores.

IMHO, I think the Razel is one of the most innovative blade designs to come about in some time. Excellent execution, tough knife.

I seen this thread, went to their site yesterday and checked them out.I was impressed so I ordered a Jackyl and a smaller Razel.Ordered them in the better 154 material though.

Is the razel's chisel-tip also dual-ground, or is it chisel ground? Just curious.
Also, do you find the finger-hole pommel to be useful?

Finally, why, oh why, is everything in stainless steel these days? (More of a rhetorical question).
