Garth hand hammered it. :) Not sure with what, but other than the ganza hammered GW run, only one other custom has this finish, a SOB I think, that Trevor owns.

I would think it would need to be done before HT? otherwise it would be one hell of a pita to do

My grails are simple. Probably my ASHBM since I've wanted one since I first saw one and never thought I'd get one, and it's a ganza model in a different color.

Also my AMS, since I carry it every day and I never thought I'd wind up with one since it was discontinued.

I can tell you this much, INFI is a great steel for an EDC blade. A quick strop is all I've had to do to it in months of carry and every day use. That's using it to cut aluminum and rubber impregnated cardboard all day long.

For me, it'd probably be a .36 or so MOAB with the American Flag Coating. Love that blade, but way more than I can ever justify spending on a blade.

This thread is missing the red headed step child, of the grail community. It's a Busse classic, that was desired for it G10 handle color, and any hog worth their INFI has owned one.

FBM has an LE run, yes. :) Some are sterile, even. ;)

There are satin FFBM's from the Custom Shop, just no LE run on that particular version of the BM. :)
 
I got lucky...they were still taking orders for the FBM & FBMLE when I tripped over Busse knives. Or yes, I'd have been hunting it as a grail too. :)
