Absolutely stunning! A must do before I die!

I hope your talking about the Grand Canyon;):D

Excellent pics Rueben! Damn that must have been hot. Dry heat or not 110 is a killer:eek:

Stunning scenery though and definately worth it!

Great pics...so how far did you hike and how many days did you camp out?

Not a long trip but the sun and desert heat will make it seem like an epic journey. Going down it was 7 miles straight down. That gets your knees after a while. Coming out was 9 miles up and out, most of that is up. The canyon is an inverted mountain. The easy part, for most, is going down. You have to get out and a rescue is a $4,000. Took me less than 6 hours to get out with lightweight gear. Hiking out is when you think of everything you brought that you know you didn't need!

oooh, that definitely looks like somewhere I could hike. Those squirrels aren't shy huh?

Thanks for the pics

Great set of pics Reuben. I'm looking forward to my trip in Nov. more than ever now. And that $4000 price tag for a rescue has added serious motivation to my training program. :D

Great pics and videos. That squirrel's got a mischevious look on his face alright.

The Grand Canyon is beautiful, I've been there only once. We were only ablel to hike the rime for a few miles, but I want to hike down in it at some point in my life. I tell my wife all the time that hiking through the Grand Canyon is one of the few things I really have on my "bucket list". :)

Thanks again for sharing.
