Of course he doesn't want this spread around too much, but he tells me he has already booked one of the first tickets on the commercial space shuttle. Something about going to hike the craters of the moon with some new ultra-lightweight radioactive knife made from a super secret exotic steel. Superman!

GREAT pics and vids bear. Thanks for posting. I haven't hiked there since 1978. I think I'm long overdo for a return trip!

Thanks for the great pictures! They brought back a lot of good memories....
The one and only time I hiked there was 1998 or so. I have to get back someday.

Winter is a good time to go since you can hike down to warmer weather. I was there in December and it was 24F on the rim and 50F in the canyon.

Someone asked for a knife picture and if you look at the pictures again you wll see a neck knife.

Doc, it does sound better when you realize it's only 43.3 degrees c.
