Granite Surface Plate.

Not to rain on ya'lls parade, but I just picked one up this week from a guy that cuts and installs granite... for free. As with most knife making tools and supplies there are scraps all over the place if you know where to look.

a good granite surface is nice but I doubt that a granite counter top scrap is nearly as flat as a grade A Surface plate.

These guys are fast. They have already shipped it and UPS says that package will be delivered on Monday. 72 Lbs - It's going to be a nice workout for UPS guy who will bring it.
