Gray Turd Thread!

satin finish is ok, Jon, so long as it's applied by machine :)

Is that the knife you were referring too? I still can't figure it out!

If satin is ok, then here is one that I used more then any other knife I have owned. I used it as my work knife for years opening hundreds and hundreds of boxes until the blade was so scratched you couldn't even tell it was finished.

Hello!

Thank you, Lorien! ;)

I think I could sneak in these two in Rex121 by my friend Farid Mehr as well:

Most othe dark knives I own have at least some colour to them (liners etc), so my most "tactical" custom will probably have to stay out (carbon fiber, Rex121 fixed knife by Farid; ok, the blade is not all dark either...)

Best regards,
Alex

Alex, you have redeemed yourself :D

Jon, that was the knife I was thinking about- it's available for sale currently, is it not?;)

Here's one of my favorite Gray turds...John Gray to be exact :p

goddamn Bob, now that's what I'm talkin about!

Lorien,

Not sure if this fits here or not, if not I will remove.
From Marcus Lin, his first (only ?) ABS style Comp. Cutter.

Here's another from that early Turd maker Kit Carson. All Gray, and again a Stellite blade. Still in my collection.

Michael, although the knife you posted is a little 'artsy' in design, the fact that the maker's name is Gray automatically elevates this knife to a new level; Gray's Turd.

Greg, that sword is a little bigger than your standard gray turd, but it meets all the requirements. Nice contribution!

Doug, I have long admired that Lin cutter. Might've almost bought it once even. Bonus points for the stealth, anti reflective black blade coating, although the hollow brass pins a a touch on the artsy side.

Win, you win! That knife is a true exemplar of the species!

Kit Carson has made some incredible knives over the years. Here's a really rare one, now resides in Austria. This is Stellite, 8" blade! Kit told me it took over 20 belts to grind this.

Very cool. 20 belts, wow. Is it a recent design?

Have some horse stall mat on this Comp. Cutter from Bailey Bradshaw MS,
it was his personal cutter from '08 or '09, forged CPM 3V.

No "artsy" hollow brass pins, so should be OK, eh ? :D
