Gray Turd Thread!

Greg, you have some seriously beautiful big blades in a form-follows-function kind of way. Not just in this thread--I consistently lust after the big stuff you post.

This thread started pretty slow but it turned pretty cool quickly. The commentary as well as the pictures are quite enjoyable. :)

Thank you Will. I have enjoyed your sheep handles posts. Starting to add those to the collection

From the '90s, not sure exactly.

Thank you, I am not familiar with Stellite and look forward to doing a little research this weekend.

May I suggest clicking on the "Advanced Search" button at the top-right of any page (searches all forums), enter Stellite as the keyword and Kit Carson for the User Name. You'll get some very interesting discussions and a good introduction. Especially in the old "Shop Talk" forum archives.

Have some horse stall mat on this Comp. Cutter from Bailey Bradshaw MS,
it was his personal cutter from '08 or '09, forged CPM 3V.

No "artsy" hollow brass pins, so should be OK, eh ? :D

ah, much better! Although, that being said, competition cutters are a little too performance driven to be truly gray turd material. I will however, accept them in this thread, and give extra points for any that you can find with have micarta handles and sandblasted blades. We should also instill an appreciation for kydex. Leather has no place here.

manufactured knives are not up for conversation here.

this is for custom/handmade knives only!

Hale Storm, you are going to have to work really hard to redeem yourself here. Good luck!

that is a fine addition, Ben!
very nice :)

excellent examples!
there is some great stuff in here, and a surprising diversity of knives...given the parameters :)

I never get tired of looking at your knives Erik.

I guess that is understandable on this thread. Don't let Paul see this. ;)

Here is a naked Craig Camerer tactical in W2. Needs some kydex clothes.

Great Thread and title Lorien... I agree the CAS and Doyle blades don't belong here!

I am guilty of laying down a few Grey Turds in the past
