Great blade movies

As I am normally a gun guy, I am pretty proficient on great gun movies.

What are some great blade movies? I just saw "Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring" and there's a lot of great action in the film with blades.

What's your favorite blade film?
 
If you guys don't mind Subtitles check out "SPL" its a great asian gangster flick. There's also an another older flick called "Blade" It's a great story about a man learning to fight back with a broken sword.

Ok, Stephen recommended this movie to me a few years ago and I could never find it. So now this and I got all excited and went to Peter Coyote's filmography and still can't find it! Does anyone know of a differnt name for this movie, or what year it was made- anything that might help me find it?

Blade Runner!

I can't really think of any movies where good blades have had an important and prominent role. I mean, even Dexter's kill bag doesn't have the kind of knives that excite blade nuts. Guns are a different matter, though...
 
Errol Flynn movies Captain Blood, The Seahawks, The Adventures of Robin Hood
any of Kurosawas samurai films such as Seven Samurai and Yojimbo
Alan Ladd as Jim Bowie in Iron Mistress
 
not really a great blade movie, but a good movie. Payback. The asian gangsters use a benchmade butterfly knife to intimidate, and nearly castrate, Mel Gibson's character. Then he uses a serrated spyderco (unsure of the model) to cut the gas line on a car.
 
Conan The Barbarian & Conan The Destroyer...out on Blu-Ray August 2, 2011!!!
Ironclad...brutal blade action.
