Great blade movies

Rob Roy with Liam Neeson. There is a hell of a good sword duel at the end between him and Tim Roth.

Also check out Under Siege 1 & 2. Two very cool knife fights at the end of each.

The Muskateer was decent also, but don't expect realistic use of rapiers in it.

And for the asian film junkies. Azumi, a japanese film about a girl trained as an assassin.

I may think of more later.

There's a great Korean movie called "the man from nowhere" that has a knife fight scene. It's currently on Netflix instant streaming.

inglorious bastards, punisher warzone (features a Tops MX4), commando, predator... this list geoes on and on!!!

The Hunted, and The Book of Eli.

A friend of mine was one of the technical adviser for the edged weapon work in The Hunted...love that movie.

As I am normally a gun guy, I am pretty proficient on great gun movies.

What are some great blade movies? I just saw "Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring" and there's a lot of great action in the film with blades.

What's your favorite blade film?

"Spartacus" and "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" (although they are not "movies " -HBO-).

The Last of the Mohicans, Patriot, And I forgot the name of the movie with Liam Nieson and "Bill the Butcher" about the riots in New York during Civil War.

We forget about Gangs of New York because of the very very lack luster ending that we all had hoped for.....Talk about a let down
