Herbertz Falcon Hunter's Knife, Bought new from a dealer at an auction. Less than 1/2 of retail price. Should be here in a couple of weeks.
That is not a chip in the blade. Knife is only sharp from there to the point. The bulk of the blade has no edge. The reason is to protect the falcon's talon's while the hunter dispatches the prey. Was different enough, and interesting enough to pick up. Hell, I may need to get a falcon now to go with it.
Bought a CRKT Offbeat. Basically a copy of Pat Crawford Framelock done as a collaboration between Pat, Wes and CRKT.
Granted it’s using a lower grade steel but it’s easy to sharpen and it holds an edge reasonably well.
I paid just south of $300 for the custom Crawford I lost. The Offbeat was $10 including S&H from one of those big internet sites that sells everything under the sun. .
The average goin’ price is just shy of $25 shipped.
