I can also tear a piece of bread off a loaf, doesn’t mean a knife doesn’t make a better tool to do the job. I’ve found more uses for the secondary opener on my Beerlows, Beer Scouts, Crown Lifters and Radio Knives than any secondary pen blade…plus they just look so dang cool. What the 25 Beerlow sorely lacks is the screw driver-tipped opener which works great for a number of tasks including scraping surfaces and prying off lids AND then opening a beer for you when the job is done…try that with your Bic lighter.

True but then you end up with a torn chunk of bread, not a clean slice. The bottle cap is more binary, it's on or it isn't.

Glad you like the tool, it's an ok secondary, as you stated the flat end has a bevy of good uses. This design removes the most useful feature of that secondary only to disrupt the primary purpose of a knife, a blade. On top of that, the knife blade isn't in the best place to use the bottle opener, and could cut a more careless or inebriated user. As a secondary blade, a caplifter on the little 25, would be interesting and make sense. Cramming it onto the primary/only blade doesn't.. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, try that with your cap lifter. Lighters are lighters, but almost anything can be a bottle opener.
