Great Eastern Cutlery: #66 - Equal End Serpentine

The 66 pattern has also been released as a two blade Jack and two blade single spring "Slim" in the past.

That's cool. It's growing on me the more I look at it. And learning more about the patterns is only selling the fire for all these knives.

Thanks!

Don't forget the BJM (Bullwinkle J Moose). I've got one in Ebony just waiting for my Ebony 66 Calf Roper on reserve to join it.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm stoked!

Looks like the Northfield bolsters will not be slanted if I'm looking at those pics right.

I hope we are treated to the same variety of shields on the 66s as we got on the 54s.

Although I reckon some more hotdogs and clouds wouldn't kill me.

Dang. I was hoping to see the homepage updated today with the first 66 release from this run. It's 4:05 in Titusville and likely too late. Tomorrow's another day.:(

Bummer on the bolsters but they'll be great regardless

I don't know, I kind of preffer the look of those bolsters over the slanted ones. But I'll probably go for a Tidioute anyway. I really like the sattin finish and there're quite a few models that look better with plain bolsters. Taste varries though.

Looks like the Ebony 66's will get an oval shield on this run. Nice to see something different.

I like different, just not a plain oval shield. I glanced at it in passing and thought it was a Case pocket knife. Anywho, here's mine...

I don't know what it is but I've got it bad for these Calf Roper Stockmen. For some reason when I look at the finished Ebony pics on GEC's website it seems like the most beautiful knife I've ever seen, even though I know it isn't.

I've got the fever bad.

I've had and let go of a couple in primitive bone. They're such a great knife, it's the perfect size for a traditional IMO.

I like that ebony also. It may have to bump another one off of my list. I really want to know what the jigged bone ones are going to be. I'm definitely interested in an oily creek bone, but not sure what my second choice will be. I'm thinking that I'll end up with two different variations. It's gonna be a tough call. The stag isn't out of the question either.

I'm with you on that Lance. I've got a reservation in for the Northfield Blood Red Bone SFO but I want another one in bone too.

The two Tidioutes I have reserved are Ebony and OD Canvas Micarta. Not sure if I'll spring for the non SFO Northfield Jigged Bone or try to go after the Dark Chestnut SFO. I'll have to wait and see what the Northfield has to offer.

When it's all said and done I'll end up with at least 4 from this run. I hope.
