Great EDC under ~150

I may just try to buckle down and find a para 2, since I dont love the aluminum handles of the bm940.

Has anybody ever had problems with the spyder hole?

Hey guys, looking for a new edc around 150 or under

Requirements:

-Blade: under 3.5.
-I don't like liner locks, so something other than that
-folding
-I dislike wide blades like those bokers, or big spydercos
-I can go for a flipper, but I need a thumbstud as well
-150 is my absolute top limit, I'm looking for something around 110-120
- manual, assisted is illegal for me

Any reccomendations?
I can't really go for a Para 2, since I want something that's not super rare as heck.

Thanks!

The Benchmade 950 Rift is just .17'' off.

Get the Para 2. I used to prefer flippers or thumbstuds, but I am now all about the Spydie hole. It is IMO the most reliable opening mechanism. Look at the Spyderco Yojimbo 2 as well. Similar to the PM 2 and a bit cheaper. i actually prefer it over the PM 2 just a bit, and the blade is very utilitarian.

i just picked up a PM2 yesterday, and carrying it today, the Spydie hole & compression lock are very easy to get used to...before this all my edc were BM Axis...but just a short time with the PM2 and i am very comfortable with it...
Although, being my first time carrying a Spyderco today, had to bring along a little BM Axis

I like the spyder hole better than thumb studs. Sometimes when buying a knife that plays the biggest factor...

My simple, non-exciting answer is to push you in the direction of an Opinel #8. Mine has been riding with me for many moons. I have given away a bunch of them...many folks have never heard of the knives and they are amazed at how sharp they get. I also have a KAI 5900 steak knife that rides in the pocket and slices like a razor. Both of these are simple solutions for my EDC needs. Then there are the days when my old 110 gets the nod even though the weight makes me cringe a bit!

This.

I prefer the #9 for EDC. Really the best EDC knife I've found.

The Doug Ritter Griptilian or the Para 2. Phenomenal knives. It's always a tough choice between which of the two to carry.

Trust the liner lock and grab a Bradley. Almost all the mentioned spydercos eat any of the benchmades alive. Horrible geometry and grinds. Carry on... Russ;)
