GREAT GUY TO DEAL WITH SCOTT MCDONOUGH :)

AKA Firebat, Scott recently had some knives for sale that I have wanted for along time. They were both at great prices, unfortunately I only had enough money for one of them and the one I didn't was the one I wanted most of all. Not wanting to blow a chance to get these knives I sent Scott an email asking if I could pay for one now and the other on my next pay day.

I got an email back from Scott saying that this would be no problem, man was I thrilled. I sent the money off for one and before I had even had the chance to tell Scott that the money was in the email, I get one from him telling me not only one but both knives were in the mail. I received both knives on Saturday and they were in absolute perfect condition as he had listed them.

Now normally I am really amazed to see so much trust among the forum members when I see a knife go out before payment was received as I have seen several do. I think Scott went above and beyond what could be expected not only did I get two great knives at great prices but he sent them both to me before he received the payment and one wasn't even do to be paid for another two weeks.

Thanks Scott for being such a great person to deal with and thanks to everyone else. One of my first transaction on this forum was not so great and made me think twice about dealing here. Thanks to Scott and many others who I have dealt with it has become just about the only place I have bought and traded knives from. This is a great place.

Aha, the return of my old nemesis under a different name. Scott, how about sending me the $100 or so that you owe me for the Spyderco "Goddard" Goddard from way back when? I can take paypal now.

i can only echo sigsauer's remarks about scott...i did a deal with him for an umfaan that was cgg decorated as well as a spyderco mouse....we had email troubles and talked out the deal on the phone one night/early morning...very pleasant guy...both knives were as described and he sent them out the same day i shipped funds to him...the transaction went very smoothly and the knives now have a new loving home and will be used a presents to my brother and father....feverdoc

Glad to hear things worked out Ferret

Just finished a deal with Scott and really enjoyed it. He described the knife honestly and had it in the mail quickly. To top it off it was a pleasure from start to finish.

I also did a deal and it went very well. He mailed the knife at the same time I mailed the money order. "AN" needs to study this thread very carefully. A good rep is easy to achieve as long as you treat others with "dignity and respect". Scott is first class. (Ferret I'm glad Scott made good on your old deal as well)
