Do you own a boatload of expensive knives but still buy inexpensive knives? I can't help myself...just picked up another Kershaw Leek. Have one in the desk drawer, another in the SUV and another at the restaurant. And...I really want a rainbow as well.

I've got a couple of Thermites that way. I don't really need them, but I keep seeing these deals in the exchange that are too good to pass up. I think I'm going to pass them out to my boyscouts if there parents are okay with it. I've been buying enough cheaper (but still quality) folders and SAKs to outfit the whole unit! :)

I have knives that I don't use but, I still want a Ka-Bar Dozier. They only run twenty bucks!

Amazing knife for that amount of cash.

I understand...feel like my relatives deserve a great knife that they would probably never buy.

My favorite inexpensive knife is my Kershaw Knockout! Great beater!!

A few inexpensive knives have caught my eye, overall design and function rules out eye candy for something cheap. Bought quite a handful of Rat 2's to just sit around as beater knives and backup blades such as in my car, could easily go for 2 or 3 times the price if it wasn't aus8 steel.

Kershaw Tremor and Benchmade HK Ascender.

For the price I'd go so far as to call these knives exceptional. Fit & Finish, ergo's, build quality, It's all there. Performance and durability is right up there with knives costing much more.

My favorite though is hands down the Benchmade HK Ascender. Good blade size with great lock up that's lasted years. Also, BM really nailed the heat treatment on the 9Cr14MOV steel. Takes and holds a great edge. This one's been my around the house beater / cardboard cutter for years now.

I recently bought a Skyline that I have absolutely no use for, just because I like the design.

Esee zancudo really nice for 27 bucks and a rat 2 really nice nice, a manly folder is 50 bucks and it's really nice d2 steel but it's a slip joint only one I have.
Two benchmade mini grips in 154. That's my everyday all day carry blade.

I bought two Rough Rider slip joints the other day. Not expensive. Pretty well made. Whether they are "great" is a judgement relative to the price.

The kabar Dozier folding hunter has been one of my favorite inexpensive knives, but I don't carry one.

Moras!

I don't think that they are great knives and I'm not big on scandi grinds, but I'll pick up one now and then to toss in a kit bag, keep in car, etc.

I've got some of these laying around the house, for whatever needs to be cut, punctured, scraped, etc.

Just commented in another thread how much I love the under $30 Kershaw Emerson CQC-6K

I do love my Ontario utilitac, can't get over how cool the tanto blade is, and I don't even like tanto blades.

Just received another cheaper knife the other day and am very impressed with it.
Very good flipper, locks up tight with no movement, awesome blade shape.......wish it was better steel.....and a very interesting pocket clip!!
CRKT Swindle. Very cool knife......I'd love to see this one with some better materials!

I picked up a CRKT Amicus the full size stainless frame lock and was absolutely impressed it's taking all my self control not to buy a Buku. The Hootenanny is also really good another one that really impressed me, in fact I really considered the s30v one before the blade steel issue happened. The original is still great.

Oh yeah. This little Kershaw is my main check in blade when I fly. Pretty friendly in most States and I got my bottle opener for bottles of pop and beer.

Others too. Too many to list :)

Kershaw Zing and Volt II. They are great knives (both Martin designs). We have a sporting goods chain that occasionally has them on sale for $20-ish. They occasionally make me wonder why I lust for the knives I do.

My next budget folder will be a CRKT Drifter, or maybe a Kershaw Chill, depending on when my need for an impulse buy coincides with a good deal.
