well it seems I'm having a rough time with reducing the pics,but seeing as there are only a few left I'm gonna go ahead and post em,starting with...lunch

Greetings
I want to thank everyone who came out to play on Sat. ( Sorry you couldn't make it out Fitzo ) It was a great location, warm weather ( especially by the forge ), and great company. There was a lot of planning and phone calls that were made, and I think it turned out OK for flying by the seat of our pants!
This all started as talk with Mark Nevling at a few knife shows. He and I talking about how there just isn't enough knife related events here in the midwest. Then as fate would have it, I have the same conversation with Rob Lindquist while on a couple of bar stools. Bingo, it all started to fall into place.
Anyway, it was good to see so many familiar faces, and even better to see a few new ones. It seems there is already talk about some future events and I say bring 'em on. It's up to us to keep this ball rolling.
Thanks again to all of you. You are the ones that made it possible.

I cannot tell you how pleased I am at the results of your efforts, the Wisconsin/Illinois chapter of the Great Lakes Knifemakers has given us in MI somethign to aspire to. I am already working on some planns to try to stay a few steps behind you. Keep up the great work!

The real credit goes out to those who came out for the day. I only made a few phone calls. You kicked of this whole movment with the first event at your place. It was that event that gave me something to shoot for. The only thing that could have made it better, would have been if you could have made it. I know time works against us all. Hopefully this is the first of many and we can get you to come out and play some other day.
