I wonder if he could have deleted his own forum before he left. I don't know if that's possible.
Thats with laser which can sometimes burn things. Its very common with some materials. G10 I've had cut was charred around the edges but it cleans right up so its just surface only.
Nothing Dave ever cut for me with his waterjet ever came back burned. I did get some fray and peeling of the G10 layers on some G10 he gave me but that was more to do with settings being wrong on his machine for cutting that material.
I too wondered what happened to his forum history. All the content appears to be gone as I didn't see it in the archives either. He didn't have that many posts there though and has more going on on his other forums so its no big deal really.
