The Emerson Kandahar and PUKs in Tears of the Sun

One of the characters in The Hunger Games uses a Cold Steel Bowie Bushman as a spear. There were a lot of knives in the stories.

I liked Steel Dawn, good movie. Originally discovered it in my local video store back in 1987 or 88. Swayze's sword was pretty cool, but I was always partial to Sho's twin swords:

and:

Swayze also carried a dagger on his right hip which was seen early on in the movie, and later on during the scene when he was taking a bath. Anthony Zerbe and some of the other bad guys looked it over, and it was thrown on the ground near Swayze about halfway through the scene.

Point of No Return with Bridget Fonda featured a Spyderco of some kind, used by the Cleaner in trying to kill her before the car went over the edge of the cliff.

I remember a movie from 1986 starring Anthony Michael Hall called Out of Bounds. He carried a throwing knife and used it to defend himself.

Rapid Fire with Brandon Lee featured a couple knives as I recall, one was a throwing knife used by Tzi Ma, and another knife that was presented as a gift to one of the bad guys. and Showdown in Little Tokyo had a balisong and a tanto.

Forced Vengeance with Chuck Norris featured a butterfly knife and a boot knife.

Invasion U.S.A. with Norris has a boot knife. Chuck stuck it in the hand of a guy he was interrogating.

Revenge of the Ninja had at least a couple knives.

Night of the Running Man with Scott Glenn 1995. He carried a knife in that one.

Endgame from 1983 had a knife (actually a dagger) in one case, or 2. (this was a made for tv b movie), but not bad. (starrinfg Al Cliver and George Eastman).

Soldier with Kurt Russell had a SOG I think it was, in the scene where he is preparing to go into battle and he tells Connie Nielsen " I'm going to kill them all sir".

The Warriors from 1979 featured a switchblade, first before the bathroom fight, and then in the hands of Swan near the end of the movie.

Starship Troopers had throwing knives.

Star Trek Deep Space 9 in "The Siege of AR-558" had Patrick Kilpatrick using a knife captured from a Jem'hadar, and the Jem'hadar were seen several times with bladed weapons in various episodes. Then of course there were the daggers used by the evil Enterprise crew members in the original Star Trek series episode "Mirror, Mirror".

The Road Warrior...Max had a Gerber Mark II I think it was.

And of course NCIS has a ton of knives at various times, Zero Tolerance, Cold Steel and others. Don't think that was mentioned in this thread.....

And I know there are others, just can't think of anymore right now....

The Microtech Halo Used In Reindeer Games (My Favorite Movie)
The knife Sphinx Uses in Gone In 60 Seconds
The Butterfly Knives in Planet Terror
The Switchblade Mutt uses in Indian Jones (Crystal Skull)
Alans knife in the Hang Over

Oh and in tv shows i see a Spyderco Tenacious (I think) and a Buck 110 in The Walking Dead. And in Auction Hunters one of the guys uses a Spyderco Civilian.
And on a different note in the beastie boys Sabotage Video there is a spyderco police. And in video games In Battle field 3 They Have the M9 Bayonet

Inglourious Basterds - Sgt. Hugo Stiglitz has an awesome knife..."My Honor Is Loyalty" too bad that is associated strongly with the Nazis.

The first knife I can recall seeing in a movie was from an old black and white court drama called "12 Angry Men". One of the jurors pulls an auto and embeds it in a table. ...

One of my most favorite movies! The whole movie, except for just a few minutes, takes place with just 12 men in one room. Talk about a storyline and character development! They just don't make them like that anymore...

Does anyone know about Sharon Stone's Push Dagger in this scene from Total Recall? It looks like a Safe Keeper, but it seems to have some inscription on the Kraton and maybe a fuller on the blade:

It was the Cold Steel Terminator :)

It's a Cold Steel Defender, found it now :). I really like that one actually, it' seems to have all the qualities that I like in the Safe Keeper and Safe Maker and I'm digging that leather sheath too.

Are you sure? I think the first push-dagger CS did was the Urban Skinner, which came in two versions. Then later, they produced a longer double-edged version called The Terminator. Though it may be essentially the same knife, I think The Defender came quite a lot later, as of course did the Safe Makers?

This is The Terminator:

Not sure if the video is showing (my internet connection is terrible today), it's at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdDlLO_bTxo

Push daggers were made illegal in the UK years ago. Wish I'd got one when you could still buy them.
