In the recent shipments I got in some great Sirupatis and Ang Kholas from shop 2. And, believe it or not, the Sirupatis have the flat plate buttcap I have been asking for -- for years. Not as thick as I had hoped for but substantial and easily modified to fit the hand of the user if need be. And take a look at the handle on both these khukuris --gray horn streaked which I ask for if available. I have this one and three other Sirupatis available and this Ang Khola plus one more. The kamis are listening and cooperating -- at least to a degree.

Sirupati specs.
ser. no. 29
20.5 inches overall
Thickness -- amost 7/16
width -- 1 & 5/8 inches
weight -- 1lb 10 oz.
karda is 7 inches (two knives for the price of one!)
finish much improved -- very good
overall rating -- excellent (takes hair off my leg -- because of handle this one almost went into my personal collection. I will probably regret not sticking it under the bed.)
Price -- $50 off regular for $125 and I will pay shipping. Don't wait.

I'll ship it today, Clay.

We will get more AKs like this one and in the 18 inch range, too.

Many thanks, Clay.

Oh Uncle Bill!!

They are gorgeous!!!!! Luckily my HIKV is in remission from the order of the Villager. I may have to hold out for a grey handle for my next purchase.

Horsemen believe that dark hooves are stronger than light hooves.Perhaps Cliff ,or another could give us a scientific opinion.

I'll wait for an 18" one. I like the extra weight and length.

In a test of finicial discipline I am attempting to suspend my knife purchases until the fall.

The 20" knife almost caused a break down.

I like them both,but I haven't seen one yet I didn't like.

I am on that 18" AK list also. I would really like one of those grey handled beauties when they come in. I would also like it on the heavier longer side to if possible, but it doesn't really matter. I just have that certain feeling that all will be well.
The feeling is a lot different than the first one, perhaps it has a really strong spirit and is connecting already?

One thing about it. After playing with te 15"AK for this long maybe it won't be such a shock to my arms to swing something a little heavier.
I have Barbs scabbard broken in very well from playing with the blade several times a day.

All the village models are excellent quality but sometimes quite ugly. I sent Cliff a village model out of the first batch I got which was so ugly I was ashamed to sell it. I told him to destroy it in his tests because it was too ugly to keep. I just got email from Cliff this AM and he told me he has not been able to destroy the village model to date and that it is fairing excellently in the tests!

This does not surprise me especially.

The village models I have now are same quality but not as ugly as the last batch.
I'll try to get some pix up later.

Sorry, Uncle. What I meant was are your new villagers as pretty as that last one?

My villager has done well. It sees alot of use weeding (whack at the base of the weed at a 45* angle, and watch the whole plant, roots and allshoot out of the ground) Between the dirt and rocks and when I hit the sidewalk with it, it sees alot of edge damage, but nothing I haven't been able to work out of it!

Just reread, and Bill says the Sirupati shown has the grey handle, and there are 3 more, but doesn't say what colors those 3 are? Maybe another is grey too? Ah, hope springs eternal, or is that just lust?

Rusty, two black, one black with white streaks.

AK is gone, too.

I take it there are no more gray handled AK's then as well. And I almost had my dad talked into letting me get this one--almost.
