Great shop 2 Sirupatis and Ang Kholas -- pix.

No problem Uncle Bill, I am sure there will be more. It would probably do me good to save my money for awhile anyways.

thanks and take care

OK, Collin, but I'll still take a look this weekend. Have a happy 4th!

Thanks Uncle Bill, not many will go as far as you to please a customer.

Don't forget to enoy your 4th either.

Collin, here I am at the screen just like every other day. I have not missed a day in the past 400! Not bad for an oldie.

I found one shop 2 Sirupati with a handle that has some white streaks just in case you want it.

400 days in a row, WOW. That has got to be some kind of record here.

thank you for the trouble of looking for the Sirupati Uncle but I am going to have to pass. I am more utility oriented and am working on getting the 4 AK sizes. Thanks though.

have a good day.

thanks and take care

Specific to villager khukuris, I just commented on mine :

http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum26/HTML/000287.html

It is holding up fine so far. As for Bill's customer service policy, I couldn't agree more. He does go to great lengths to make sure that you do get what you want.

In terms of utility, the Sirupatis are interesting to use, their light weight does offer some advantages over the heavier AK for some uses, if I had to carry one it would over course be the AK, but the Sirupati is nice to have on occasion.

Thanks for input, Cliff. And many thanks for supplying valuable test info on the villager.

No problem Clay, everyone needs a few khukhuri's.

Hopefully, there will be more of those gray horn handles en route.

Well, got the Shop 2 Sirupati pictured above last night. Wow. It is beautiful. Firstly, this is my first sirupati and I am awed at the graceful lines of this piece.

If the 15" AK is a hatchet and the WWII is a machete, then this one is a sword.

The sheath is a little tight so I will probably alter it with some popsicle sticks ala Rusty.

The horn is a little rough around the buttcap (I really like the flat buttcap, Bill!) and I am thinking of buffing the electric pencil engraving a bit so it is less obvious, but other than that, this piece is perfect. It is the only khuk I have that looks as good in it's scabbard as out!

The horn handle is fantastic. In fact, my girlfriend made me hang this one in the living room, where it can be seen (she is not a knife person but can appreciate khukuris for their beauty, uniqueness, and history).

Thanks, Uncle, for this great piece!

Glad you like it, Clay. When you get a chance check out that blade with some heavy duty chopping and you will see what I mean about the shop 2 village kamis.
