Maybe I'm behind the curve, but I"ve been dealing with excellent people at New Graham, Knifeworks, Knife Outlet, GPknives and others for roughly a decade. Add a new find to the list:

www.Knifetrek.com

Just ordered a knife from them. Hasn't arrived yet. BUT, I can tell you that they have, by far, the easiest to navigate and quickest loading site I"ve ever been on. Very well laid out, good pictures, I found the prices low, I suppose it depends what you are looking for.

Just thought I'd spread the good news....

Thanks for sharing! VERY low prices, probably the lowest I've ever seen for new knives. Let us know when your knife arrives. It says they were an ebay company before, so let's hope they aren't in the business of selling factory defect knives. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one!

Dave,

Thank you very much for your order. I hope that we can do some more business in the future.

Guys, let me assure you there are no factory seconds here. If anyone has any questions I will be more than happy to help. Just call me. Even if it is after business hours you can usually get me.

Thanks again, Dave.

Hello David,

I know its almost two years since your last post, but I have a question for you...

What the hell happened to my order? I have been emailing you since December 22 and yet you haven't given me any response. It's been 11 days since my order (placed Dec 18, 2009), and yet I have not yet received any feedback from my email inquiries. MyAccount at your website is still the same with the status "pending."

I decided to try out Knifetrek.com based on the recommendations I got from this very thread. It might be a mistake granted that the thread hasn't been active since 2008... I normally buy from Knifecenter or Knifeworks and these two websites have been very cooperative, giving me constant email updates.

Please answer my emails, Mr Sutherland, and fulfill your promise on your website... that you are in the business to make your customers happy... because right now I am not happy.

Finally, Diamdave, did you ever get your knife from them two years ago?

Just an update on my post above. The issue was resolved a couple of months back, but it would be helpful to post here that Dave did answer my email, and that the transaction pushed through. There were some issues with his warehousing, but it was all sorted out with Dave personally ensuring that my package arrive. I'm now using the Fatboy that I got from Kinfetrek and I must say that I am very happy with it.

Thanks Dave for your very personal touch and wonderful CS.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with David Sutherland from knifetrek.com? I am wondering where the order I placed on Tuesday 20 April, 2010 is and I can't get in touch with him. I emailed Mr. Sutherland on 4/29/2010 at DAVID@knifetrek.com with no reply and have left him three messages on his voicemail/answering machine at 1-800-316-9710 since then.

I did receive a confirmation email with my order, but there is no tracking number and when you go to the website knifetrek.com under "Order Tracking" all i get is:
For customer service - Call toll free 1-800-316-9710
Tuesday - Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

I verified the address and it is correct. I have not received the package, a failed delivery notice from the USPS, or any other contact from Mr. Sutherland after numerous tries.

Please help!

Thank you,

Nick G

Still no package or response from David Sutherland at knifetrek ... I'm hoping someone in this forum can help me. I feel robbed and angry.

~ ><> ~ I believe the website operator is a scammer and this whole thing was meant to cheat as many folks as possible from the get-go..

~ ><> ~ I may be wrong, but I don't think I am?.

~ ><> ~ Is there any bladeforums.com member(s) who has/have ever successfully executed a satisfactory knife or firearms trade?.

~ ><> ~ Check out the first post from the threads OP and see how its written.. And then continue on through the thread.. :(

~ ><> ~ IMO, The moral of the story is,, if it sounds too good to be true, it likely is!

~ ><> ~ Don't take stuff at face value, for instance, if you read:

'Wow, these knives are so cheap.. Way cheaper than normal.. I already put in my order, but I haven't got my knives sent to me yet, but what a great site and the pictures are so wonderful and the 'check-out' loads up so fast!'.. .. Or some such..

~ ><> ~ IMO,, Trust folks if you want to, but Verify just the same before you open your purse-strings.

~ ><> ~ Also, the website being shown is suspect and does not list the address where the operator is based from??

I will have to agree with sunnyd. If it sounds to good then its 8 times out 10 probably a scam. Let us know what happens.

I've ordered from Knifetrek before.
I ordered a Protech Godfather, and it was on my doorstep about a week later.

If I were you, I'd try calling once/twice a day until somebody picks up.

I ordered a knife a MONTH ago...and I still haven't received it. I called David Sutherland 5 times, left messages, e-mailed the company 4 times and have yet to receive a response! What's going on? I looked over my bank account and they haven't pulled money from it but I'm afraid later on they will. What a scam!!!!

Anyone know what is a GOOD REPUTABLE knife site???

Hey Guys, I have purchased several knives from David at knife Trek. No problems ever! Now his web site is down so maybe he retired or something else happened.

Folks, I'm the OP. All I can tell you is the knife I ordered in '08 came right away without any problems. I'm sorry to hear some folks are having problems, of course that's not right. When I 'found' him the site and service were top notch.

No need to get all nefarious, SunnyD, I had a good experience and wanted to share it, nothing more, nothing less.
