Really? Interesting! How about you link us to the thread you are referring to so we can get an idea of what you are referring to?

Well, it seems the original thread would have had to been something very interesting to inspire Don so much. So, I figured seeing it would inform the discussion in this thread.

Right?

 Move? You are making sound like either 1) the original thread was not "cool" and was "trollery" (see what I did!); or 2) this thread is the trollery; or 3) both are.

I don't see how there is reason to suspect any of those three...though I sure wish Don would share some examples of his "smithery" or those in the original thread.

Seems like an interesting topic, especially to someone like myself who only does limited modding of grinds...is that "smithery"?

What? Why would you think those things? :D

I was talking about a move to the smithery subforum. Not sure if there is one. But the topic might be better in maintenance, tinkering, and Embellishment. Or what about the knife maker's forum.

Well that is an excellent point. I have to imagine "smithery" is something along those lines and that this thread would be perfect there. I assume the origina one is in there? I'll have to try and find it.

Still, it seems like people are hinting at trolling from the OP or the person who started the original thread, or both, and that seems to be a pretty bold claim without some facts or history to back it up.

Hardly seems fair.

I think it is this one:

The whole Don Joe thing is so old.

Is the "smithery" topic been done to death? I don't know...I don't really spend a lot of time in the Maintenance, Tinkering, and Embellishment or Knife Makers' subforums.

Seems like the guy is posing a valid question. Is there reason to believe he isn't? That's the vibe I'm getting.

Thanks! Seems like the OP of that post got the same treatment.

What gives? I didn't see the mods take any action there, so that thread must have been sincere, correct?

I don't know. I had nothing to say about what that guy did to his "knife".

I've done some smifferizing.........and I'm not proud of it. That's all I have to say about that.
I hope all my buds are having a good one[emoji1417][emoji1417][emoji1417][emoji1417]

That's not what he said.

"So in the end, it managed to be repaired without any damage or any real smithery... " emphases added

Perhaps I'm missing why some want to ridicule this person???
