First off I want to thank GunKnifenut for finding us a beautiful pice of property to hang out in. Allthough it was a swamp. It was frozen though, so no one got wet!
There were 7 of us today and 4 are still there freezing there buts off and getting a crap load of snow dumped on them right now. Even though I prefer my winter camping in say.... Florida I do wish I could of stayed.
We had a great time BSing, practicing skills, eating by the camp fire, building a huge shelter, and checking out the forrest that would most likely be unaccessible in warmer months.
We had a but load of knives but axes reigned supreme here!
I did finaly learn the Payute! I still like the figure 4 and split trigure dead falls better.
Also made a twitch up, just to keep busy and stay warm.
My new NWA Camp knife provrd to be an excellent knife in all applications.
The wood in the next pic was split with the NWA, Gene's Tracker by Martins is in there just to make the NWA look even better ; )
Seriously though, Gene used the Tracker all day and it performed well for him.
Not my style of knife, but I will not knock it........ anymore
I am way too tired to post commentary, so just a bunch of pics coming at you now.
Enjoy!
