I have a serious roblem with you posting the link to the test here in the CRK forum. It smacks of disrepect and has all of the factors needed to start a flame war. The Knife Review forum is just that. I suggest leaving them there. By posting this here you have opened up a can of worms which is trollish in nature. This is a topic that has been hashed out over, and over, and over again. It smells of Cliff Stamp and quite frankly we are better off without having a repeat of that whole debacle.

Had I caught this thread earlier it would have been edited and locked immediately had I known what this thread has turned into...a joke aimed at CRK.

Do not assume that people "might miss" a thread posted elsewhere.

I had no intention of starting a flame war and no intention of disrespecting CRK or anyone else. I hadn't even watched the videos when I posted the link here, just read the first post in Noss's thread. I have not dissed CRK and was the first to say that this knife could have had a bad heat treat. I posted the link here because some people do tend to gravitate to certain forums while ignoring others. I linked it because I thought if anyone would have an interest in a test done on a CRK knife, it would be the people who frequent the CRK forum. I simply posted a link. I did not post a link stating "CRK sucks, Cold Steel Roooles.", or any other such nonsense. I apologise to you, CRK, and anyone else who thinks this post was a deliberate attempt to insight chaos in this forum. May I suggest that you merge it with the one in the reviews section if you feel it is of no interest or usefulness to the CRK forum.

i'm glad someone finally said this. it seems like this thread was started here to rub crk fans noses in it for liking such an obviously inferior product.

Like I already said, I meant no disrespect to CRK. When the Busse and Scrapyard tests were brought up in the Busse forum, no one seemed to have a problem with it. Any further discussion on this topic should be redirected to the reviews section of this forum. I apolgise for posting this thread in this forum. I felt that more CRK owners joining the discussion would be benefical to the thread. Ken, if for whatever reason you feel like this discussion should continue here, you can reopen this thread. For now, I'm locking it.

Next time watch the video first and then think about whether it's a good idea to post in a forum mostly frequented by fans of CRK and the outcome doing so.

After watching the video, I still felt that this was the most relevant forum for this information. I do realize now that since this is an individual manufacturer's forum, any kind of bad press of the manufacturer will lead to conflict. I didn't actually think this thread would grow more than a post or two. Only that it might bring CRK owners and possibly Chris himself into the discussion in the other thread, so there would be two sides to the conversation, and it wouldn't turn into non-CRK owners making it into a joke on CRK. I realize now that I was wearing rose-colored glasses, and in a non-perfect world, it had to turn into what it has. I will not be replying in this thread any further.
 
This being an internet fourm, the chips will fall where they may. If this were a professional journal, courtesy alone would have expected the Reeves be notified early on, and asked for their response. Not after the other opinions were in, since many people read, post, and skip over later entries.

In a sense, this has been done before. Bill Harsey did a lot of the answering in the earlier Cliff Stamp version.
