Somehow the Virgin Mary and knives just don't work together conceptually for me.

Someone tell me why the drop point is so popular? Why do so many prefer it over a clip point?

Stronger point, easier to make divots in fire boards, etc. Many just like the looks better.

When I first saw the bk-14, I thought "No." There's just something about the drop point that doesn't look good. Now that I am an owner, I think I like the idea that I could use it as a pry bar if I had to, though that clip point is very attractive. I think I will end up flipping a coin on which tweener to get when the time comes.

I still like the looks of a drop point better myself, but the clip has really grown on me lately. Ever since the 17 was released...

hmmm...I really like the looks of the clip point and I don't tend to use my knives to pry stuff...but then again, I worry about the point so going with a drop point might just be the ticket. All if have...should say had since I gave them to my sons...were a couple of BK11s. I really need to get some stuff for me this next buying spree. ;)

I'll be glad to get some money to buy more knives with. Just filed for my first unemployment check yesterday. Will get it Friday. I got laid off the 29th.

This new coating is so nice...it makes the machax look way different than the LE...

I can sympathize with you somewhat...my wife was laid off last year and had a really tough time finding a job here in Vegas. My son was just laid off a couple of weeks ago and just filed for unemployment too. I hope things work out for you very soon.

I hear ya brother...I'm on my first Federal Extension of my UEI
I'm glad to be able to get it, but damn, I make more in one week of working than I get in 2 weeks unemployment. I don't have any money to do anything extra. So, I just sit here. Yay.
