I can sympathize with you somewhat...my wife was laid off last year and had a really tough time finding a job here in Vegas. My son was just laid off a couple of weeks ago and just filed for unemployment too. I hope things work out for you very soon.

We are about to buy a house and getting laid off is one of the things that makes me nervous about it.

I'm glad to be able to get it, but damn, I make more in one week of working than I get in 2 weeks unemployment. I don't have any money to do anything extra. So, I just sit here. Yay.

The only good thing..I'm drawing off of my Cali wages, which is as much as I can make working here in the boondocks...so I am OK. Not gettin rich, but OK

The only good thing..I'm drawing off of my Cali wages, which is as much as I can make working here in the boondocks...so I am OK. Not gettin rich, but OK

Because I can't claim my step son, and just because of law changes, I get $77 less per week than I used to. May not sound like a lot but $308 less per month is a lot when you have bills to pay.

Wow there's a yahoo story about some guys down in Mexico bringing in a dead great white that measured almost 20ft and 2000lbs. Insane.

There wasn't much to do here 10 years ago when economy was OK...nowadays...even less. I will almost HAVE to move to find a decent job, or take a traveling job. Which don't bother me any..Traveling Becker Circus!
