Grindworks or BladeHq, who should I buy from?

I've found from my friends that work at the local knife shop that the main reason BladeHQ has a separate site, Grindworks, if the fact that vendors like Microtech won't deal with BladeHQ if they sell the cheap garbage OTF's and other low quality knives that emulate or compete with Microtech. Therefore BladeHQ operates a seperate sit like Grindworks to sell the low quality product.

BladeOps operates the same way, with their sister site autoknives. As far as BladeHQ, I have really not purchased much from them in the past year or so. Their inventory and new items seem to smoke many of the other knife vendors out there, but it seems like most of the new stuff just is not that interesting any more, at least to me. This seems to be across the board with most of the vendors as of late.

Heck, I actually forgot one of the main criteria I use these days, which is proximity. I'm luck enough to have a really excellent knife store within an hour of me and that gives me the opportunity to handle before I buy, which is VERY nice.
Had a great knife store I used to frequent as well, then they closed up shop.

I really miss that store. Bought a knife every time I walked in. Great people, great products.

One of my true laments.
