A little..... :D

Hard to beat!

I haven't read anything about the hollow ground grips. How is it?

Cuts like a laser.

The newer rounded thumbhole is good also, after using both styles, I like it a little better than the oval one.

A closer view of the older 550 and the 550HG.

They feel good in the hand, and are very smooth openers. Not much to dislike. I prefer the Mini.

Powernoodle may I ask what kind of Spyderco is that in the 2nd picture?First picture looks like a Delica.

I got the mini grip 557 -- tanto blade and while i love the knife, i'm not a fan of this blade at all for 90% of the cutting tasks i want it for [I know, duhh, its a tanto blade]. For general EDC and cutting tasks, go with something with a belly like the 555 or 556 (assuming you like the mini's).

It's a Mini Manix. Great knife.

To FolderFan,

Griptilians are great knives. One of my first quality folders was the 551 CE. In this price range, the Benchmade Griptilians and the Spyderco Enduras/Delicas are hard to beat. They're classics. Some of the best quality folders for the dollar you'll find in any price range IMHO.

what about the fixed blade griptilians? i've been looking at those pretty hard lately. i've got a mini-grip and i might get a fixed grip or a full size for camping/hiking.

Is the 154CM much preferred over the older 440C steel ? ...........and do you recommend the model with the opening hole or the thumb stud ?
