Grizzly belt grinder back order blues

I'd heat that sucker up and water quench it with the teeth still on the edge then leave it untempered! Run a $1 a chance strip card for "how many pieces will it break into" and make yerself some money! :D

Pretty even grinding, BTW.... :) Plenty of ricasso for a nice finger choil. ;)

I just re-read this quote of yours and it is as funny a thing as I have ever read on the forums. You can't buy entertainment as good as this IMHO.

BigJimSlade, a round of applause is in order for actually answering GibsonFan's question. ;)

Sorry to hear you are still waiting on the Grizzly. I was afraid of that and got too antsy to wait and went with the KMG as you know. If you can swing it, it will be worth the money. I was surprised at how smooth it ran and how easy it made grinding and just plain hoggin steel. I only have a 3/4 hp motor on mine and it is working for me just fine.

My Grizzly finally came in last week. While putting it together I found the nut that holds the drive wheel on was missing. I called Grizzly right away and they said they'd ship it right out. Tons of apologies, etc....Needless to say I was still pretty pissed. I measured the shaft diameter and thread pitch and found it was a standard thread, so I went to the local hardware store and bought one. Later that afternoon I was up and running. Pretty easy assembly.

I opted for the larger drive wheel, 10" I believe. So far so good. I've never run a really "good" grinder, so I have nothing to comare this one too, but I will say it does work pretty good. I know I need to buy some better belts. These alum. oxide ones do not last very long. Right now I'm working out an idea for a hollow grind rest for it. I guess I give it a B+ for fit, finish, power, ease of assembly, belt changeability, and smoothness. Again, I don't have much to compare it too, but it will certainly do the job.
Thanks,
Scott
