Put a bunch of details that I can't even point out myself but damn I loved making it.

That may have been the conceptual starting point, but the nature of the given space made it impossible to execute in the way I had been thinking of it. Besides, I am more than happy with the way it turned out! :)

I may have an idea for a tweak on that concept that we could perhaps revisit one day. ;)
 
Got another one from Grog the other week and been meaning to post about it until now... I think he set a new bar here!

It holds a Behemoth Chopper or Proto BC, with a removable piggyback for an EDC or EDC2 that can be worn independently.

Here’s one of Grog’s pictures of it. (Nicer than my shots below!)

First of all, it looks beautiful as you can see! But it’s incredibly well made and functional as well!

It certainly wears well.

And the retention is excellent.

You can see how well the piggyback is attached and nested onto the larger sheath. There is no give or movement when you draw the EDC.

Of course you really don’t need anything other than these two blades for any sort of cutting/chopping chores around the camp. There’s no better combo I know of!

Overall, Grog gets another A+ for his craftsmanship and service. As far as I’m concerned, you can’t do any better!

FWIW and for those wondering, he hasn't been around here since late Aug since he's been finishing up his sheaths projects (like that exquisite project above) which were held up invariably, because LIFE JUST HAPPENS! I don't speak on behalf of Grog, but just to let everyone know that he's alive and kicking, although currently swayed by other more pressing matters to him than the knife hobby.

I am hoping that the GrogMeister will muster up the interest to get back into the game soon because he's just so freaking talented and an awesome person. He's a giver and gives till he literally hurts himself!!!

Grog, we will be more than ready for you when the time is right for you to return, you big goofy bastid! Oh, I wrote this specially since he loathes sappy stuff being written about him but let him suck it up just because I scored a nice Christmas present for him already :p :D
 
I wanted to convey my special thanks and gratitude to both Apocryphiliac Apocryphiliac (Tim) and also Briandt3 Briandt3 (Brian) to have made this happen for me to acquire this tandem BC/EDC sheaths which I reckon to be one of Grog's very last commercial pieces before he went ala f*rt in the wind! I know that Tim had put hi ideas into this sheaths tandem and also that Grog (Dan) had spend hours to make this happen both beautifully and solidly. This piece now resides in a very safe place with Unc. Matty :)

I just had to spread the GrogMeister lurve around a little bit by sending a couple of his fugliness's DNA to a couple of super-duper awesome people on here but whose names shall be forever withheld to protect the guilty :p

The conversations with you and Tim and the appreciation you both showed for Grog's work was refreshing :)

To echo Brian, no thanks necessary! Also, my input into this combo was less than little—it was pure Grog. I never wanted to part with it, but I am very happy it found its way to the right person via a terrific guy, mr Briandt3 Briandt3 who surely could’ve gained more but who chose to respect my wishes.

Casinostocks , you are a true gentleman and I could not be happier with the outcome of this situation.

In short, big time kudos and thanks to you both, and a fond hello to the artist fka. Grogimus if/when he reads this. At least I still have one of his works still in my hands. That one is going to the grave with me!
 
Dan and I texted some yesterday after not having heard from him for over a month which quite honestly even had me worried a bit. We've made plans to speak over the phone this weekend so that Grog can catch up.

Nathan, @Jo the Machinist and Crew, he was quite stumped by your act of kindness toward him which as he wrote to me, hit him right there in the "feelers". The note signed by all was also very witty ;)

I will bring him back in here, someday soon hopefully.
