Makes sense….but at least they have some form of true Customer Service.can't take a 110 apart, that's probably why
Send in any Cold Steel brand knife and we will sharpen it for free*! Just pay *$10.00 for Shipping and Handling. We do not sharpen other makes/manufacturers knives under any circumstance, as well as counterfeit knives or knives found to be fake. Cold Steel reserves the right to deny sharpening service to any knife that is unsafe or unable to be sharpened. This^^^^
Sad. If I’m not mistaken, Buck has a lifetime warranty on their knives…you can also send them in to be re-sharpened.

Do you or anyone else know if CS still sharpens serrated blades? This^^^^

I had no idea they offer a sharpening service…sounds good to me. Considering some of the models are quite expensive, it would make sense to have a repair dept too.Send in any Cold Steel brand knife and we will sharpen it for free*! One more CS blade for me…Recon 1 Spearpoint. After that, it’s sayonara!I posted this in another thread; I feel it is impotant enough to post here also. As a fan of Cold Steel from their beginning (with about 75 of their knives, swords, etc.) I am VERY ticked off at my conversation with a GSM rep. and supervisor about an hour ago. I have a Ti Lite which I lost the clip and screws to (yes, my fault) and wish to replace. I was told that GSM DOES NOT carry replacement parts for Cold Steel knives. That's it, 0 replacement parts. I will miss doing business with them.
I agree wholeheartedly Kershaw and Zero Tolerance knives have excellent customer service. They've sent me Springs screws pocket clips with no argument and they never charged me a dime. If all companies did business like them it'd be a much better hobby we have. I'm not sure who's better Kershaw or buck but they're both top-notch in service and customer satisfaction. I'm not going to beat up on gsm either but I'm don't think I'll be buying any more of their products. And I'm not happy about it cuz I really liked Cold Steel. And I have a lot invested in their knives. Now I'm just basically really turned off from them.I have had wonderful customer service experiences with KAI and Buck.
Even prior to the Cold Steel buyout, the service was not great. I sent an American Lawman in under instruction from a Cold Steel rep and after two months it was mailed back to me untouched.
I look at Cold Steel products at this point as having zero customer service.
I have an extra Pocket clip and screws for a Rajah 3. If you think it'll fit and you want it I'll be glad to send it to you in the mail I just throw it in an envelope.I posted this in another thread; I feel it is impotant enough to post here also. I have no idea if they would fit and would hate to take them "just in case" but I thank you very much for your kind offer. I do not have the skills or talent to take apart the buck 110.can't take a 110 apart, that's probably why
Cheap price? Some of the higher end models are quite expensive….why wouldn’t you offer customer service if your clients are paying top dollar. If you wanted a warranty, you would’ve bought a Benchmade, Buck, or Spyderco. That cheap price from Cold Steel comes at a hit to after sale service.
Taken as a whole, CS is budget-minded. Imagine buying a $500 CRKT and expecting better warranty support than what you get for their $30 knives. You won’t.Cheap price? Some of the higher end models are quite expensive….why wouldn’t you offer customer service if your clients are paying top dollar.
Taking the knife apart to clean it is asking for troubles in the long run. I shake the heck out of a knife while dunked in a bucket of soapy water, then repeat that process with clean water. And if you want do a final rinse with distilled water, shake dry and set in the sun. no oil no nothing. glides like silk.My translation is you can't take it apart to clean them anymore. So how are you supposed to clean it if you can't disassemble it? From what I'm gathering and we don't have any warranty
