Nice. Can't wait to get my 4.7

Please take some artsy pictures of yours when you get it! Take a shot of the 4.7 with whatever you do to make the night sky look so bright and alive as the backdrop.

Could I contract you to do this?!??

Hi Ellie,

Are you able to provide a side by side photo of the 4.7, 5, and 5.1? This would give us an idea of the difference in handle and blade length.

My first love with Survive! was watching all the review videos of the GSO 5. I wanted one with a choil and that's the 5.1, but yet I prefer it to be slightly more compact, which is where the 4.7 excel. I can't make up my mind. Perhaps it would be great to have a photo of them side by side, using the 5 which we all know about as a guide.

Courtesy of our ni1s! I know they're not all physical models and this is an old spec 5.1, but I found this to be really helpful.

You know it pretty much comes down to longer, taller blade with choil on the 5.1 or smaller blade without choil on the 4.7. I think both could be great all in one knives. If you'd be adventuring with a GSO and other tools like ax or saw then I'd really say go with 4.7. If you will truly have only one tool then the maybe the 5.1 if you enjoy choils.

I know I'm not Ellie, but it's all I got :)

From the mocked up diagram, there don't seem to be much of a difference between the new 4.1 and the 4.7. Since I had already preordered the 4.1, I think I should go for the 5.1 instead. I could really use the 4.1 for finer camp craft work.

Don't forget the gso 6
An excellent one tool option !

I thought about getting the 6 at first but went with the 7/7 instead. There shouldn't be much of a difference between the two of them.

The main differences is that the 4.7 has a higher blade and thicker stock I think. Also possible a more centered spearpoint... So, the 4.1 will be lighter to carry as well.

Sure but the 4.7 will be more stout and manly :D
I decided against the 4.1 and chose the 4.7 as my general use blade.

ni1s beat me to it, he said exactly what I was thinking.

Pj, I think you made some really good decisions. Someday soon you are going to have a very nice GSO line up!

Yes!
Man I just keep going back and drooling over that instragram video.
Yes!
Haha yeah! I'm the same way. When I first saw it I was so in awe that it took me a bit before I realized I'll actually own one soon. It really is incredible.
And Yes!!

I think I'm more excited now then when I ordered one.

Yeah man, with the finish and new design it is so much better than the rendering. And even that got me excited!

Heck yeah! I think the handle profile was the biggest selling point for me but know the whole package just looks awesome.
The evolution. (I was bored last night)
