I wanna know the secret steel!
I understand there is an even better steel than 3V known as Z Wear. Not sure how much better but I think 3V with Peters HT should be darn great already.Yes!
Also if there are more secret steels... For the 2.7 for example.![]()
I have hammered down on my 3v and seen very little to no damage besides dulling. Even then a few strokes on the stones it was back in sharp ready to work.

Not exactly but I think it was only a few weeks or a month or so.
Right on, glad to see you posting here.Blues-90,
You said it all sir. This is exactly how I feel about Survive Knives and the people behind the product. Nicely said.

My hope has been that our community here can offset the negativity on the main SURVIVE! Facebook page. I'm really glad you're helping to make this happen. Well said!Okay, that 4.7 in the Instagram vid is just dead sexy! I can't wait until little box of goodness comes. The palm swell looks like just the ticket to really lock the blade into your grip.
I would also like to add the following:
Guy, thank you, for your hard work in bringing these excellent tools to us. We appreciate the talent involved with the design and build of them and are proud to own them, use them and show them off. We also appreciate that you sell them at a price that gets a man or woman a top-shelf blade that will last them a lifetime without crushing their budget.
Ellie, thank you, for keeping track of the myriad emails and phone calls that you field. We appreciate the time and effort you take to come in here and keep us updated and answer even more questions.
Kiah, thank you, for the excellent sheaths that you make for our knives. We don't have to sweat finding a decent quality sheath for our new babies, they are sufficiently equipped from the shop with sheath that should last a good long time and not need replacing out of the gate.
I just wanted to thank you guys, as I am sure it is not said near enough.
Please take some artsy pictures of yours when you get it! Take a shot of the 4.7 with whatever you do to make the night sky look so bright and alive as the backdrop.
Could I contract you to do this?!??
