Guy, you have mentioned there are many more S!K models on the drawing board or in development. Any chance of a 6.0 (choilless) being in the mix somewhere?

I'd get one for sure. Who else would be down for an updated 6.0?

The 5.1 seems to be wildly popular for good reason, the size and versatility. For those who don't prefer choils I think the 6 would be best for that crowd. I wonder what Guy has been cooking up to update this model other than incorporating his new handle design.

Moderately off topic: I'm also really anxious for renderings and details of the other new models to be released like the GSO 8, folder and the updated 10.

I know I know, the starter isn't even over, but a dude can dream, right?

Thinking it may speed things up  I was going to suggest that Guy just remove the choil from the new 5.1. But because we're dreaming about 12+ months , I'm really hoping hoping he'll do a 4.7 on steroids, with a nice big palm swell & spine handle curve.

I thought about this the other day. I've subconsciously purchased/preordered every S!K without a choil. I wouldn't mind a 12, but I do NOT like choils on smaller knives. Actually that's one of the big things that drove me from one of S!K's competitors to S!K. I like the fact that they offer so many smaller knives that don't have a choil, but aren't necessarily bushcraft blades.

I have a 6 and I love it! It's big enough to do some decent work, but small enough to do some lighter tasks. I'd love to see the 6 brought back with improvements. I'd sign up for one as long as I didn't have to make a decision between it and the folder...LOL. Money doesn't grow on trees.

I'd go for a new GSO6 if it had a little less blade height, otherwise I love my current one.

yea slightly less blade height and a longer handle and my 6 would be near perfect i am all about choiless

I heard rumor the 6 was to be updated, but not until all these new models come out. Good timing as I'm in a similar boat as Alchemy, I love my current 6 and wouldn't change much on it, although would welcome a refresh to it down the road.

In direct comparison with the 7/7 I kept the 6, based on my hand size and intended use.

This thread needs pics! The 6 is probably the one, hope it gets added to the starter!

To me, this is the glaring hole in the lineup. Love all the knives S!K makes, but it would be great to see a 6" blade without a choil. I would buy on IMMEDIATELY if you made it. Put it on the starter, and you will have my money in 24 hrs! :D

I think this is why I'll likely jump on the 5.0 when it goes through its final release in a few weeks, and patiently wait for the 6.0 redesign down the rd...
I'm sure with gloves and/or careful patience the choil on the 5.1 can be useful....all i see is a missing pointer finger if I slip...

I'm curious that some have suggested less blade height, especially when the 5.1 with the same 1.5" seems almost universally appreciated. Could anyone please elaborate on why?

Thanks for the pics. That is my ideal knife. Come on S!K, put the 6 on the Starter. I will buy it, and I am not the only one. Give us "no choil" guys a big knife!

As much as I'd love to see a 6 I think we'll have to wait until after the starter for normal production. I'm pretty sure Guy or Ellie said they had a hard time deciding what to put on the starter and what is on there is all there will be.
