Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

That is another exceptional photo, of an exceptional knife, you are good!
Thank you very much Preston.

Fantastic Dwight
Thanks Jack.

The background to this pic is a traditional mourning handkerchief made in Belfast in (pre-partition) Ireland) early in the 20th century. One time, when I was in Ireland, I got a lift back from an event at Castle Espie in County Down, with some folks who had found a whole box of them, and were selling them off to raise money for charity
Very interesting info Jack. I'd never heard of it.

Good morning, Guardians.

I hope everyone had a pleasant weekend. Mine was rather cold but quite enjoyable all the same. I thought I would share a couple of pictures from my trip followed by the Lambsfoot that I have in my pocket today, paired with a new piece of kit. I'd have to say that this is my new favorite cup for wilderness excursions.

Great picture of your Guardian slip and Lamb, GT.
Hope you have a great weekend.
...
Thanks for the compliment and for wishing me well, John. :)

Not even a pond GT, it's just wet pavement! :D

Thank you my friend :) Great pics, those slips are special :)
...
Thanks for the good words, Jack. :) I hope those ducks on the "pavement pond" don't try feeding like the "tails-up" ducks in this photo of our vacation location! :p

I agree. I think my favorite out of my vast herd of lambs is the Little Sambar, but the Rosewood big'un is more likely to be my weekend carry.

Quality quartet, Rachel! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

5K Qs 5K Qs Thank you Gary. I may be prejudiced, but your Man Jack is a handsome, knife, indeed.
...
My favorite light as the days get longer, is just before and during sunset.

Harvey, we all have our biases, and I can certainly understand how yours regarding stag senators arose! ;):thumbsup: Because of (or despite??) all that, I still appreciate your assessment of Man Jack.:cool::thumbsup:

Wonderful "late light" photo of your damascus stag senator. I don't think very intentionally about quality of light when taking pics, but now that you mention it, I do rather favor some of my pics near sunset. Here's one of my Black Jack from last fall, I think:

Thank you. Actually, I was able to take pics from only a few locations so from now on, it will be same place, different knife. I really wanted to get up to Glacier Point for some Half Dome shots but the road was closed due to snow
Sure do like that slip and the knife ain't bad. either ;)
OG
Looking forward to more Yosemite settings in your lambsfoot pics, OG!:thumbsup:;)
Thanks for your comments on Man Jack and slip. :)

... to me, the beauty of Yosemite is unique and I'd like to share a little of it's wonder. At the risk of being redundant and boring, here's a short video I found.
Bridal Veil Falls
OG, I've never been further west in the US than South Dakota, so the video of Yosemite waterfalls was breathtaking to me!:thumbsup::thumbsup: And your photo of the damascus stag senator is majestic!:cool::thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs that's with an internship. So realistically I have two years with credential program. But I can emergency sub without a credential. So, I think I'm gonna try the subing thing for a bit and see how that works. With my wife's career I can be a little more flexible now and be home more with the kids.
Thanks for the info, Taylor.:thumbsup::thumbsup: Some folks can sub pretty much full-time in my area of the country (although supply and demand for subs seems kind of cyclical, which affects the pay). If you can get benefits like health care through your wife's job, that certainly gives you more options!:)

Good Sunday morning to all Guardians, getting out to work on the weeds again today. Got side tracked by this Indian Paintbrush so had to take a picture...

Very cool "nature shot" of your ironwood, Preston!:thumbsup::thumbsup: (Don't some knife makers have "Indian Paintbrush" as a handle color?)

El capital El Capitan pic, OG!!:cool::cool:

Baa, Baa, Black Lamb, have you any flowers?? :D Splendid pic, Dave!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

On this Memorial Day, I hope you will join me and take a moment to remember all the fallen men and women who fought valiantly to protect human freedom across the globe.
Superb holiday sentiment! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

How about a baseball pic for Lambsfoot content? I figure Will the Thrill would carry Ebony ;)

I don't remember if Will Clark used a black bat, but I sure remember how he "lit up" the Cubs, and broke my heart, in the 1989 NLCS! :( My recollection was that he did it singlehandedly, but I looked it up this morning, and Matt Williams and Kevin Mitchell also were quite hot that series. (Mark Grace was a "giant" for the Cubs, so that's some small consolation.)

Summertime and the livin' is easy with a South African custom lambsfoot!! ;):cool:

Lovely shot of your stag damascus lambsfoot, Dwight!:thumbsup::thumbsup: What is the little flowering daisy-like plant?

Thank you. Mark Grace - one heck of a ball player

Preston, look what I found this afternoon! :p Mackays Ice Cream Shop its been in business 70 years. :D How could I have missed it, right next to the bar?!;)
Right next to the bar and you missed it!!! Maybe new glasses would help...no, you saw the bar...what could be the problem!!!
I’d be glad to mow your lawn if I had the chance. My best thinking happens when I’m walking in circles cutting things to smitherenes :D
Well, thank you Joshua, I'd love to take you up on that!! I have four acres...really no lawn, all a mix pasture grasses, yucca and cacti. With my riding mower it takes about 6-8 hours. I can't go to fast because it's rough and doesn't cut well with all the bouncing around. Not to mention me and my aches and pains because of the rough ride.

I'm hoping to escape both Preston ;)
Ha, ha, ha, I can escape one but not the other!!

Fantastic photography Dylan, you captured the cold in those photos. The last one with the cup and DamiLami is excellent. Glad you had a good trip over the weekend. Thanks for the background on the cup, I've never heard of them before.

Guardians, it was a long day dog training and I'm real tired, plus, I'm having problems with the quoting again...I believe the computer gremlins reside in the mouse! I'm having trouble with the quotes going in the right place, even though I make sure the cursor is at the end of a quote. I'm quitting and going to take a hot shower and go to bed.

I grew up on six or so acres--a combination of centipede and bahia grasses. The bahia was so tough that when it got tall you had to mow over it multiple times; once with the deck raised, and again with it lowered. Even then you sometimes had to make another pass.
