Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I had to put on a fleece jacket before I left our cottage this morning for my walk at 6:20. Some of my fingers with bad circulation were numb by the time I got to the town bank 30 minutes later and read that the temp was 49˚F.
Sounds like Heaven after dealing with 100+ degree temps here.

I'm not around The Porch as much as usual this week, but I thought that neither Dwight @Fodderwing nor José @Pt-Luso has checked in to this thread recently.
True, Jose is missing in action too.

Under control with Sköll on pole patrol!:cool:;)
Fine wordsmithing, GT. :cool::thumbsup:

I can't imagine a happy ending had your knife had bone covers!
That would have been a job for the dustpan.

Kick out the jams and the lambs, John! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Lamb Jam. :cool::thumbsup:

Good morning! Hope everyone has a good day!

Thank you, I missed that paragraph. The reason that I have been looking is that I am having trouble opening on of my A. Wright lamb foot knives and want to look at the section on loosening the back spring.

"There's a particularly good post by @Cambertree on the subject. Which one is it you're having trouble with?"

The one with the filework on the back spring. I have lubricated it many times but it is harder to open now than when I first got it. Part of the problem may be my 81 year old thumbnail. I'm at the point where I need a pair of padded pliers to open it. It is a beautiful knife but I can't open it.

That is very strange, I wonder if it has a small shard of metal in the joint or something, I have always found that pattern quite easy to open. Have you flushed out the joint with compressed/canned air? It might be worth having a good look at the joint under a strong magnifying glass to see if you can see anything in there. Any photos you are able to show would be appreciated

The Big-un'. You know you want one!

You’re right. I most certainly do.:)

Got to be done! :D

Thanks, Matt. :) I think most of us that got a stag Ashley's Choice Lambsfoot think that our personal model looks best! :p:thumbsup::thumbsup:

:D

I didn't know what to think, Harvey; I thought maybe part of normal TEW maintenance was daily makeup for the eye in the blade etch!

LOL! You're on a roll buddy! :D

Thanks for the incredibly helpful illustrated overview, Jack!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
...

Yes, I think I do indeed want one!:cool::thumbsup: Perhaps as a Guardians knife some year? ;)

A pleasure Gary :) That's definitely worth thinking about ;)

Great news pics of Cracker Jack, I hope you're having a lovely day my friend

Wow! Dealing with mid to upper 90s here. Heat index was 108 a couple of hours ago. But why were you wearing a jacket if it was only 49 degrees? That's short sleeve weather!

Well, you know, I did get the best one.

Was wondering the same thing. Hope they'll check in soon.

No, I didn't. Don't know the lyrics to the latter. I remember hearing the song on the radio, but never really listened to Lynard Skynard. Bought the Zevon album though.

Thanks!

Still looking fine!

My longest multi-quote. I'm exhausted! (Typing on a phone with my fat thumbs and having to correct the dpellling all the time.). ;)

Hot enough here in the mid 70's! :D I think we have a load of rain on the way over the next few days  Nice pic of your AC Vince

Bought the Zevon album though.

The one with John Denver's malevolent twin on the cover?! :D

Evening Guardians. Getting ready for tomorrow :)

Isn't it just Paul, thanks for making the effort pal :)

Hope everyone is having a good day :) It's mid afternoon in Yorkshire, and I am back home for an hour before having to go out again. Not sure I'll get a chance to log on later, and I'm over to Sheffield in the morning. Can't afford to fall behind! :D

This one fell into my pocket again today, I do love the stag on it :)

Thanks, Jack. That's was two or three months ago when the weather was cooler and the Jasmine was in bloom.

That's the one! There was a great picture on the inner sleeve with a Smith & Wesson revolver on a plate, with vegetables. I think I may have the CD in my car right now, come to think of it.

Good morning, everyone! It's going to be a glorious Thursday!

Thanks John, I'm very grateful to @Reaper AL for kindly gifting me the hat :)

Thanks buddy, superb shot there :)

Morning, I do enjoy reading this thread boys. While I am definitely not a big poster here I am a big fan of this lambsfoot thanks to Charlie. My ocd might be at play here a little with another Ebony still on its way to me currently to be a user. Have a great day :)View attachment 1175515 View attachment 1175516 View attachment 1175517 View attachment 1175518

Great stuff Kelly, that is quite a collection :) Thanks for the great pics

I went to the post office today after going to the doctor and a mysterious package from an equally mysterious return name Jack Black Jack Black was waiting for my signature. Well, I brashly signed for it, brought it home, opened it, and the contents were as follows.

WAIT A MINUTE, WAIT A MINUTER, WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!!!!

Inside the package there was also this bonus Lambfoot knife with Buffalo horn covers. Unexpected but very much appreciated. Thank you Jack!!!!! There was also a blue pin with a Yourkshire emblem in the package but I forgot to take a picture. I'll rectify that later.

I'll post more pictures of the knives throughout the upcoming weekend.
