Thanks, mate. It's a shame about the IPA but think of it as inspiration to continue the quest for the perfect ale.
Congrats, Mike. Watch out , the HHB has a way of laying sedge on the pocket.
I found a few good ones last night Kevin

Paying for it a little today
Very cool pic
I used to have a name for posting great photos with the great set up that I had at my old house- nowadays with time I walk outside throw the knives on the concrete at my feet and take the shot- take it or leave it!
lol- well ok not quite THAT rough!
You still have a great name I think Duncan!
Shades of Rosewood. Just goes to show that Rosewood comes in various shades and colors.
I posted earlier - last week I think - that the "Big-un" in the middle had a crack running right up the center of the cover; however, I gave it a closer look and a very light sanding and the apparent crack disappeared. It seems the crack was nothing more than a sliver.
That's an excellent photo Ed, quite a variation there
Good morning Guardians! I’ve been dipping my toes back into the forum a bit but not enough to stay up to speed here. Just wanted to say hi and pop up a picture since I’m carrying my lambsfoot today. Hope you are all well!

Good to see you here Joshua
Happy Halloween Guardians
Cool pic John, Happy Halloween to you and all our Guardians
Lambsfoot helped me change out a nice vintage, solid brass lock set for a customer yesterday. It lasted about 60 years and it pains me to replace them with cheap, tinny current models that won't last a fraction as long.
Hope everyone has a great day.

I'll be working outside for the next few days. (20 degrees F and intermittant snow)
Fantastic pics Mark. When I was a kid a lot of old houses still had very simple latches, which nowadays you only see on garden gates and outhouses. They look a bit like that, but the 'mechanism' is just a simple bar as seen here (this is the inside of the door).
The piece which is depressed to lift the bar and open the door is known as a 'sneck', and also gives its name to the mechanism found on a type of old Sheffield locking folder, known as Sneck Knives
Smashing photo
Hi Guardians, hope everyone is having a good day

I was up bright and early to go to the market this morning. Thought this item, shown with my Hartshead Barlow, was interesting, and wondered if anyone has seen one before (not looking for guesses as to its purpose, only knowledge, thanks)?
The smaller part rotates, and when the numbers are aligned with the arrow, the relevant hole matches up with the hole on the larger piece
