Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

@Cambertree - Much appreciation for the nice words, Chin. I thoroughly enjoy your Blog-like posts.

@Prester John - A very nice and respectful view of the Alamo, Vince.

Jack Black Jack Black - Yikes! (Re fit and finish). That flask is a beaut. Perfectly paired with your Hartshead.

Good Afternoon Guardians.

Early A.M walk.

Great pictures as usual Harvey. The pry bar and vintage Lamb set each other off nicely.

Just ate a Reese's peanut butter cup and a small Milky Way. And there's more. Plus I bought a bag of Brach's candy corn today--it was on sale.
Brach's is the only candy corn, for my money. I like their punkins, too.
Early A.M walk.
I wasn't awfully early myself, but our pavement was mostly dry, with just a bit of ice in the very shady areas.

Well, that's not a "cheep" photo!:D:thumbsup: Another great shot, Dan!
In their absence I might take the liberty of sustaining Old Guy’s tradition of posting a tune for Happy Friday. This one’s from a local Melbourne muso:

I really appreciate your great storytelling posts and ventures, Chin! Great looking Big'un! Thanks for picking up the torch for OG till he returns!;)
I hope OG is alright too  And where is Dave @dc50 ?

Thanks for the tunes Chin, and for another great pic of your ebony Big 'Un :) Hope you have a fantastic weekend
I do hope Dave and O.G. are okay, Jack!
Morning Guardians, Friday is here again! :) Hope everyone has had a passable week, a great Halloween, and that the weekend has lots of good things in store for you

Nice shot of a great looking SFO Lambsfoot, Ron! I do love the ebony, hate I missed that one!:)
Light duty for the Lambsfoot yesterday. Mostly just pencil sharpening although, a lot of it, as marking on concrete wears down the lead quickly.

Then, Halloween with two of my favorite little girls where my Lambsfoot opened some of the more difficult packaging. One a Vampire, the other a Fairy princess.:) It's amazing how different siblings can be, just like my own two sons.

Nice photo of your '19 SFO Lamb,...Great photo of your Grand youngins!:)
Happy Friday Guardians! I've been distracted the past month or so with another knife series, but today this gal takes her rightful place in my daily carry. Hope all have a great weekend!

A good lamb and a good cup of coffee....daily carry necessities!:D:thumbsup:
I had the porch light on for a while, but there was nobody out there. I have a lot of internalized twixes to burn off. I won't do it again. Well, who knows what I will or won't do in a year.

I had already eaten the half a bag that wouldn't fit into the little dish.
At least you had your trusty Jack-O-Lamb handy!:thumbsup:
Today, I'm back carrying my Ebony WCLF...

And what a dandy it is, John!;)
I'm just having a sandwich and an apple :) Hope everyone is having a good day

Been having to eat healthy, lots of spinach on me sandwiches, apples, and the Mrs' has been making me take blackstrap molasses because of the iron :poop::(. No burgers and fries for a while!:thumbsup:

:D:thumbsup: Cool!
It's a Standard with ebony covers today.

Great ebony, Ed! Is that a pin or a button next to it?
Just came in the mail. Not perfect but not too bad either. Grind on the blade is uneven from mark to pile side of it. From what I have heard from others it's inherent with the blades (supplied by AW Wright). Blade is well centered. Covers are Rams Horn. Overall, for the money, a little disappointed but pretty satisfied at the same time (if that makes any sense).

Have a great weekend, all!!

Speaking of bread, I made another batch, because the whole rye is a little strenuous. The 1 part whole rye, one part white whole wheat, and 2 parts unbleached came out only a little loftier than the rye, but I forgot to double the yeast, so I'll have to try it again. I still have some of the rye/whwhwh anyway.
Then Laurel's kitchen has an oatmeal and whwh bread I'll try, because oats are good for geezers and I don't like oatmeal or unsweetened Cheerios. I expect oat griddle cakes would be just as bland. But maybe with HP sauce ...

Thank you Harvey, I have quite a few hip flasks, they each go in and out of fashion with me :D Those are two great pics there :)

We still have the old Yorkshire stone flag-stones and causeway edges (regularly targeted by thieves unfortunately), but they can be treacherous underfoot  Interesting pic Jer

Have a great weekend, all!!

Great to see you here Dennis, and hear you are getting stronger - that multi-quote alone must have taken quite an effort my friend! ;) Thanks for the kind words, the flask accompanied me and my pal to the cinema the other night, filled with Jameson's :D  You listen to the missus Dennis, and look after yourself :) That's a great pic, the patina is quite unique, incredible  Good luck at the docs mate

Morning Guardians, I got woken up early by a friend ringing me to tell me he had spotted a knife on a market stall and did I want it! :D Hope everyone has a great weekend, I must say I am looking forward to seeing our resident Dr Doolittle CelloDan CelloDan 's photos from the bird sanctuary :) The weather forecast isn't good here, but it's not actually raining here. I'm not going for a hike today, but I'm going to walk into town as I have a few errands, and need to get some shopping. Have a good day folks, I#m going with stag and Damascus :)

:D We have the seeds in the car already :)
We are leaving for Brockville soon, about an hour from Cornwall as we have been invited to play some music at a church service.
On our back we'll have a little lunch at the bird sanctuary, go for a walk .... and hope the chickadees are hungry today :D

Mornin' fellow lammie enthusiasts! Carrying my newly acquired JB '19 ironwood SFO. Still thinking about a name for him, and the one that keeps surfacing, I don't know why..., is "Two-Face" from the Batman series. But, this guy is no villain. I'll keep pondering... :)

There is quite a contrast in those covers isn't there? Even more so out in the light. I can see why you'd think of Harvey - Harvey Dent, not 'our' Harvey! :D

No problem, Jack. My baking is pretty thin on lambsfoot content, so thanks for your indulgence.
