Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

No jellied eels?
Jellied eels? Doesn't sound appealing. I could go for some pickled herring, though. :D

Just received this awesome care package from Jack Black Jack Black . I couldn't be happier, the Ebony Big Un is fantastic and the extra souvenirs are a great touch. Thanks! I know what knife I'll be carrying the rest of the week! Better photos tomorrow.

Congratulations, and good on ya, Jack!

Mulder and Scully found their way out of the woods, so I've got my rosewood big'un in my pocket today.

Ah well then Texarkana and North Cheshire should be sister cities, boring and flat sums it up for this town :D:thumbsup:

Sounds a lot like where I actually live. North Cheshire is completely flat for miles and regarded as being one of the most boring places in England. :D
Which it is.

Thanks Ron:thumbsup: they are both smooth and silky:thumbsup:

Thanks for the compliment Rob! That IPA is not the only thing that is Smooth and Silky! That beautiful old Lambsfoot certainly is too! :)

Nice display of stag on your AC:thumbsup::thumbsup: Thanks Jack

Many thanks Rob, I always enjoy carrying it :) I hope your wife goes on OK at the dentists today

Good Morning Guardians, hope everyone's week is going well so far :) I thought I'd drop my AC in my pocket today :) Have a good day Guardians

Awesome, congrats :thumbsup::)

When I was 7, one of my teachers once tied me to a chair with a skipping rope to stop me talking to my pal!

Jack, you left out the part where you pulled out your trusty lambsfoot from up your sleeve, overcame it’s strong pull while being tied up, cut up the ropes and escaped with your buddy :D

Good morning Guardians :)

Thanks John, unfortunately the fish and chip shop was closed  :D ;)

I went to the post office to mail off the giveaway prizes, having already stuck on the customs labels, only to find that the labels were changed a few weeks ago, so I had to fill out new ones, in a hurry, with gloves on! o_O Pinemoon Pinemoon , @AnW, and @Whetstone39 , I hope they reach you soon
Hi Guardians!

Looks like I'm an official member now.
Thank you, Jack!
I received my Real Lamb Foot in the mail yesterday. It's a beauty. It looks brand new! I am carrying it today after giving it a sharpening last night. I think I'm gonna like it :thumbsup::)

Jack, refresh my memory... I can't recall if this is ebony or rosewood?
I really like the handle and snap; it has nice action, and centering is excellent! Thanks again, my friend :)
I enjoyed seeing the other items as well. Can you enlighten me about the pin?

Santa Jack at it again... Congratulations.:thumbsup:

That’s one of my favorite photos of your AC Jack! :)

Thanks Ron :) It has done some work today, as I've had 4 large deliveries (2 of groceries, 2 of beer), with a lot of related cardboard shredding. It'll be getting sharpened tonight - if I still have any strength left! :D

Good morning Guardians! Raining here today so my activity will be indoors. I’m going to be carrying my Waynorth Cutlery Jigged Bone Lambsfoot! Have a safe and productive day! :)

It doesn't does it?! o_O One of my beer deliveries came from a friend I once gave a jar of pickled herring to! :D Years ago he worked in a bar opposite a Swedish hardware store in Leeds, and they had a policy that if you found something they sold cheaper, they'd refund the difference, and give you a jar of pickled herring. Having been given a jar, I walked into the bar, wondering what I was going to do with them, and he told me he absolutely loved pickled herring, so they got passed on :D

Thanks Rachel, great pic  :D

LOL! :D The teachers poor knot-tying helped me escape ;) By coincidence, and unbeknown to me at the time, Harry Houdini used to stay just across the road from my parents house, and just up the road from the school, back in the day. He visited Sheffield times, and was friends with a local escapologist. Apparently in the attic of the house, there are still some holes cut in the roof beams in the attic, that they had cut to tie ropes to, in order to practice their escape techniques.

Smashing photos  :)

Good Morning Guardians

Looking good John :)

Good Morning Guardians and anyone else looking in.

All lined up in a row.

Blimey! They were a strange generation of teachers o_O When I was 7, one of my teachers once tied me to a chair with a skipping rope to stop me talking to my pal! :D

Yeah but boy did we know how to behave.:D
I'm surprised that chap didn't gag you at the same time.

A mate of my dad's did it. It was a sort of franchise you bought into. A shame it disappeared :(

Aye it is, I love cockles. Of course they make your beer go flat. :(
Great song, not seen that before.

Fresh supply acquired. However they've changed the label since the last time I bought some.

LOL! Did you hear about this?

https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/news/local-news/sheffield-man-appalled-morrisons-sub-18372294

Personally though any right thinking Yorkshireman who actually allows their stock of Hendersons to get so low as to actually run out, should be deported.

To Blackburn....:D

Delicious!

We have a TV channel here in the UK Talking Pictures that shows nothing but old movies and programmes from 1930 to about 1970. It's the only thing that can get me to turn the telly on nowadays.

Oh London is horrible. How people like living like that I don't know. But one of my brothers lives in Kalkata in India which is 20million or something like that and wouldn't change it for the world.

That's a stunning photo of the sunrise! :)

Thanks Harvey. Those cufflinks are fantastic and must of taken some real skill. If I could do it all again horologist would be one of the jobs that would be on the very short list.
That Christopher Johnson looks great.

I'd of made our politicos drink it. ALL of it. :D

Looks like a lovely home you have there Bill.

We had a teacher that was known to throw chairs. :D But of course this was back in the day when teachers would receive gratitude off the parents for disciplining their children and not lawsuits.

Good on you Chin! You can be proud of what you achieved with Melbourne then. Especially when you compare it to our large cities in the UK which are just plain are awful. Of course we had WWII to thank for some of it, but you can't blame that for what the powers that be allowed to be built afterwards.

Your winters look better than our winters.:thumbsup:

Bill why'd you sell your Morgan?? Stunning cars!

Jack, even in semi-rural Lancashire here we had chaps come round the pubs with baskets selling cockles and mussels and that was still going on into the mid-90's? I'm can't say when it stopped, though I certainly don't recall seeing any in York pubs when I moved there in 2000.

Haha GT no not quite. Captain Webb was the first person to swim the English Channel- specifically the Dover Strait, the narrowest part, which separates England and France by about 22 miles. Swimmers from around the world still do this. Not only is it one of world's busiest shipping lanes but it also has among the world's strongest tides and currents.

https://www.channelswimmingdover.org.uk/content/history

Captain Webb became a genuine celebrity and his name was associated with all sorts of goods; what we would call nowadays celebrity endorsement.
Here's his Wiki page which tells it better than I can.

There's still one cafe left in London.

That's a great story about your dad Harvey. Do you still shoot it?
Thanks David. We love our home here in NC.
