Here's a relatively recent pic of my Guardians Lambsfoot. I finally started to actually use the knife about two weeks ago, mostly for food prep, and a patina soon appeared:

Looking good GT :) As I might have said before, I much prefer the way patina builds up on a polished blade rather than an unpolished one :thumbsup:
 
I'm sure most folks here will remember the stunning and historic TEW Lambsfoot Barlow @rockman0 thrilled us with a couple of months back. Well, Rob very kindly offered to send his prize on a visit to Yorkshire, and I received his package yesterday afternoon :) Not only did he send me this illustrious knife to have a thorough look at, but he very generously gifted me an Alfred Blackwell Lambsfoot - and in far better condition than the one I have! :) Also, a 4000 year old arrowhead!! :cool: What a historic package! :) Many thanks Rob :thumbsup:

Some rather shoddy images taken at work-full scale blizzard raging outside so the images don't do the knife justice. I hope you get an idea of how pleased I am as this has very decent stag on board.:cool:

Wow! You did get a beauty Will, that's some of the nicest stag I've seen on a contemporary Lambsfoot :cool: :thumbsup: When I went over a couple of weeks ago, I was hoping to pick up some Sambar, but they had used what they had for Peach Pruners, which are about the same size. I bought a couple anyway, but asked if they would make up some Lambsfoot knives. We had an interesting chat, and those knives got forgotten amid the excitement about my other order. That one must have been fresh off the bench! Absolutely beautiful :) :thumbsup:

It is an absolute peach Will :) The Sambar was only long enough to do the small size Lambsfoot, and the 'Senator' Lambsfoot (because of the double bolster). Hope we'll be seeing it lots :) :thumbsup:

Trust me ,I have been trying for a couple of years and despite the well meant advice of some good people yours is the first help that has stuck ,I can not really explain how or why but it was always the bit from imgur to here that stymied me. So thanks again.
 
Thanks Jack, another good thing about the L-Foot is that it appears to always be a Barehead knife, I'd hate to see the end of that Sambar lopped off due to an end-cap:eek:

I've heard that people have been breeding Sambar deer in captivity, fingers crossed for sustainable quality Stag then:cool:
