Thanks a lot Dave :) I didn't take as many photos as usual, but I'll post a few tomorrow :)

If you ever make it to my neck of the woods, I will gladly buy you as many tacos as you can eat.

Jake & I are back working at the plastics warehouse. They called and offered me better pay than I was making at the aerospace job and no union dues ( 95$ a month  )

Thanks a lot buddy, that'd be a fantastic time, though, I have to say, I can't eat like I could when I was a young feller :) Probably just as well! :D

You are clearly a man in demand my friend :) Interesting shot of your Hartshead Barlow :)

Had a fantastic walk today, only a few miles up the road from where I live, and on footpaths and bridleways I've not walked before :)

Hard to believe you're barely on the edge of one of Britain's biggest cities.

I passed through a couple of ancient hamlets, winding my way along narrow lanes and footpaths.

I was glad of the shade along the way.

Eventually I arrived at the ancient village of Shadwell. The village library wasn't open.

But the fish and chip shop was doing a roaring trade. The building dates back to 1637, the oldest in the village.

And there's a pub of course, where I enjoyed a great pint of Timothy Taylor's :)

Sorry to hear about your lockdown problems my friend! It’s great you’re stocked up and eating well! It pays to have friends and most small local owned businesses remember their loyal customers during times like these! That’s not something you get with the big chain stores! Stay safe and well! :)
Thank you for your kind words and thoughts, but it is not a problem for me, we started stage 3 lock down on the 22nd of March, they were slowly wound back from early May, but i thought this was too soon and kept on going about my life as if we were still in lock down mode. So i have personally been in a lock down way of life for nearly 5 months, the current restrictions have not made much difference to me. And i always support local business where i can, you build up a rapport and connection over time which you cannot get from large chains and multi-national companies, plus it keeps the vibe of the community hub alive and well. Hope you are going okay over there, stay safe and take care.:)

Very sorry to hear about the lockdown mate, hope it can be lifted again soon
We are going to be in stage 4 till the 12th of September at this stage, but i feel we will be in some sort of lockdown for a lot longer, possibly into next year, we will be wearing masks into next year, of that i have no doubt. But it does not worry me, i am used to it, and there are a lot of people all over the world doing it a lot tougher and harder than me, but thanks for your kind words. Mate, it's all good, my parents brought their children up to be fairly resilient, as my sister used to say, " Just get on with it". You have a good week my friend, and enjoy your walks.;)

You done real good on those Jack :thumbsup: That etch should be visible for a good while, I always kinda hate to see 'em go.

Thanks Duane, I hope (this side of being dropped in an acid bath) that etch will be permanent

Brilliant! :D Thanks pal, take care

These knives are awesome!
As discussed many times in previous posts, this is the reason why these knives were the preferred carry knives of farmers, they were work knives being able to be used for most tasks at hand, and with the straight edge, ease of sharpening at the end of the working day. And my friend the one you have in your hand is a " Pearler ".

Thank you! We’ve been exercising safety precautions since the first of March here. So far so good! Stay vigilant! :)

Thanks, I really like it, it was a second. but in my eyes it is a beauty. Had to sand down the mark side a wee bit when I got it, pile side has better stag :)

Alas, here it was being admired while I was smoking some lamb chops on my lil' Smokey Joe grill for dinner tonight :D

You can't make this stuff up

Great minds think alike, i just has 2 lamb chops for breakfast, and i personally do not mind differing sides of scales, it adds a uniqueness to each knife, as long as they are not too different. But i use all my knives, but if i was a collector i probably would have a different view. I love this knife, but both sides of the scales are not identical, one side is a slightly lighter color, which to my eye gives me the best of both jigged bone shades.
