Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Hey thanks for that Jack interesting to hear that stag is disappointing to say the least I guess cheers

Because of the Indian Government's export ban on Sambar stag, Sheffield cutlers have struggled to get hold of decent quality stag for some years. British stag is much more porous, lighter, with no real bark, and a very light colour, which is often grey rather than brown. Unfortunately, Wright's have never updated their website photographs to reflect the nature of the stag they use today. There isn't much I like about the 'Senator' pattern I'm afraid, including the name (borrowed from a Penknife pattern), and I don't think it's worth the fairly high price

My owd cuttlin' word of the week:

Holy smokes. I wouldn't want to be tied to a hand-cart and get buck-swanged:eek:. I know some politicians that should get it though.:D

I have never heard of that word before, and after seeing it's definition very glad that i haven't.

Even when I was a lad, I don't recall hearing about any buckswanging!

With so much going on in the world, it'd be easy for the Yorkshire media to miss the really important stories  :D

Sheffield shopper left speechless as Sainsbury’s offers Henderson's Relish substitute
Sainsbury’s has done the ‘indescribable’ by attempting to substitute Worcestershire sauce for Sheffield staple Henderson’s Relish.

The Highland Park is a fine dram, Very good choice my friend:thumbsup:. Glad to see the media is on its toes too! Sorry to hear that your weather is a bit on the gloomy side. Nice close-up of your HHB and Ebony.:)

A bit on the sunny side here today but cold. Going to take it easy as my aches and pains are in their full spender:rolleyes:. Going to be an Ibuprofen sort of day for me but I'll be keeping my HHB close.

It's one of my favourites Bill, and good value I think :) LOL! Yes, some great current affairs coverage there! :D ;) Sorry to hear your aches and pains are bad buddy, and I'm sure the cold doesn't help :( Maybe you need a dram yourself ;) I've just been for a walk round the block, but it's pretty chilly here too. I saw a mate of mine working on the roof of one of his houses, and he was feeling the chill more than me!

I hope tonight's blizzard is a fizzle like two of the last three.
