It depends when, where, and who you are my friendFor working-class people, that's the meal they eat when they come home from work (supper is what you have when you come in from the pub!). For British officers in WW1, that was when they got Baldrick to toast them a muffin (An ENGLISH muffin!), at 4.00pm sharp, and the Germans knew that the British guns would stop firing

Of course, where I grew up, tea was just a drink, served cold and sweet.![]()
Things have relaxed here a bit, at least in NC anyway. I getting out to play golf this morning but it's chilly (mid-40's). Will go up to low 50's so it won't be too bad. Can't stand to be cooped up. Sorry that things are so restricted for you Jack. Haven't figured out which Lambfoot I'll carry when I get back. Probably my HHB.Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone's week got off to a reasonable start. I have to say, that with our lockdown still on, the days of the week certainly hold less significance that ordinarilyI thought I'd have a blind Random Tuesday pick from my knife box today, and came up trumps, with this Sheffield Lambsfoot rebuilt and recovered by @jsdistin in African Blackwood - Thanks to @Reaper AL for gifting it to me
Have a good day Guardians, stay safe and well

Thank you Jack. I had a detached retina repaired a while back and my vision is pretty bad right now. Anyway, Jack I don't know how long you've had that quote from Ron in your signature but I just now noticed it. The news of his passing is such a terrible shock. I have noticed his absence lately but had no idea as to why. Ron was one of the kindest sweet spirited individuals I have ever known. A real gentleman and the kind of person we should all strive to be. What a loss. I am so very sad.I'm really enjoying seeing your wonderful photos Dwight (lost your quote earlier)
