Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thanks, Jack! Hope I'm going to feel up to it now! Some great photos going on in here, and some new folks I've yet to meet!:)

I hope so too my friend :) Yes, a nice crowd here, as always :)

You too Dwight! :D Great pic of your AC there :)

Good morning Guardians, it's another 'holiday' here today. I have some guys coming to fit a new front door first thing in the morning, so I won't be doing much boozing today  I did crack open the bottle of Maker's Mark I got for Christmas last night. I know nothing about bourbon, but felt it was time I opened it ;)

It's another bright, sunny day here, with not a cloud in the sky, but apparently there is some snow in Scotland, and colder weather is forecast for the next few days o_O Have to see I guess  Back with my Hartshead Barlow today :) Hope your week gets off to a good start, take care out there

Jack, I always keep a few bottles of Maker's in stock:thumbsup:. It's a very good all round Bourbon and occasionally I'll have some but Scotch is my drink:thumbsup:. My friends like bourbon:). Going to be nice and sunny today and warming up into the 70's (Deg F) today:D. Very nice photo of your HHB and also of your Lambfoot with the nice file work.

What did you think of the Maker's Mark, Jack? One of my faves, although it has no rye. A typical bourbon has mostly corn (maybe 80% or so), with the remainder usually being rye and barley. Aged in new oak barrels. Maker's Mark substitutes wheat for rye, which makes for a very smooth drink. That being said, I do prefer Scotch, especially the Islay malts.

I thought it was good Vince :) I recognised the smell immediately from all the other drinks I've had over the years that are aged in old bourbon barrels :D It's on the sweet side, and very smooth, but with more flavour than I recollect in the last bourbon I tasted - around 1977! :D I'll stick with Scotch, but it was nice to have the experience :) Thanks for the education my friend, that's very interesting. It's great having you back, and with a great pic of your '19

Good morning Guardians, I'm just covering up, and getting things ready for the FOUR workmen who are coming to fit my new front door o_O I'll probably have my hands full with them, so I thought I'd go with something solid and dependable today ;) Have a good day Guardians

We were supposed to be having a barbecue at the weekend, which didn't happen in the end. So I have a fridge full of sausages! :D

... makes no sense but still dark out for another hour so disturbing the wildlife who've taken up residence indoors

Nice photo Jim

Oh gosh Jack. I'm sure they'll get it sorted ... after they take a break

Thanks mate  They've told me it'll have to be another day now, what a bunch of idiots! o_O

It was bright and sunny earlier, and I was thinking of sitting outside, and working on one of my walking staffs, but then it started to snow! Filled in some time fitting a new Alpine ferrule and a Yorkshire Rose collar to a cane I picked up in an antique centre ages ago, and now the sun is out again! :)
